We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: QHSE Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops processes and procedures and simplifies complex processes to assist the organization in achieving quality goals. Proactively identifies areas to enable the organization’s shift toward process intervention. Oversees the implementation and effective deployment of process and procedure changes
  • Ensure environmental compliance – compliance with Federal, State, Local and Corporate requirements relating to recordkeeping, permits, reports, training, and other related concerns (Technical Environmental Contact)
  • Trains, monitors, and coaches team members to improve skill level, to ensure adherence to principles, policies, and standards to improve safety, health, and environmental processes in a reliable and cost-effective manner. Participates in accident investigations, problem resolution, and appropriate feedback (positive and corrective) within the teams and sites
  • Oversees the execution of audits to includes API, ISO, internal and customer audits
  • Ensures the product and process quality to comply with internal & customer requirements and ensures alignment with API (American Petroleum Institute) and ISO (Industry Standards Organization) standards and other applicable industry standards
  • Develops processes and procedures and simplifies complex processes to assist the organization in achieving quality goals. Proactively identifies areas to enable the organization’s shift toward process intervention. Oversees the implementation and effective deployment of process and procedure changes
  • Facilitating or developing QHSE training programs.
  • Ensure the Industrial Hygiene plan is current and documented for each site
  • Ensures that related QA documents are updated when Engineering specifications and applicable processes are revised. Promotes standardization of quality process and systems within the division
  • Developing and reviewing internal standards, policies, and organization’s quality systems for compliance
  • Analyzing QHSE performance trends and developing QHSE improvement plans
  • Recognizing organizational impact of non-compliance to laws and regulations as well as internal guidelines and make corrective recommendations

Requirements

  • B.Sc Degree / HND in Safety related field or similar discipline
  • 7-10 years’ experience in the QHSE field
  • Must posses relevant professional certifications.
