Project PMER Officer at Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS)


The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) was established through an Act of the Parliament in 1960 to complement public authorities in humanitarian interventions with the mandate to prevent and alleviate human suffering at times of peace or conflict, and to support individuals and communities to respond effectively to emergencies, without any form of discrimination as to class, gender, race, political opinions or religion.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Project PMER Officer

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities
The PMER Officer has the following responsibilities:

  • Develop PMER processes and tools for NRCS programs that support the data collection and analysis, and ensure adaptation to the society’s context Operational
  • Provide support in the development of a systematic monitoring and evaluation framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by each NRCS program
  • Assist program teams in the revision of the project log frame, project workplan particularly in the areas of performance indicators and their measurement
  • Support program teams in project progress reporting, project mid-term review and final evaluation
  • Collate lessons learned and develop case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the project
  • Provide advice to project managers on improving project performance using M&E findings
  • Assist in producing reports on M&E findings and prepare presentations based on M&E data as required.
  • Participate in meetings of partners, stakeholders in programs, planning and reporting
  • Participate in NRCS field level activities for the collation of program data on a scheduled and regular basis
  • Maintain the monitoring and evaluation database; analyse and aggregate findings for reporting purposes

  • Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross Fundamental Principles and NRCS Statutes
  • Show capacity to assist other members of staff and management, aptitude for maintaining cooperation and team spirit necessary to achieve the objectives of the National Society
  • Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Line Manager.

Key Performance Areas

  • Percentage of projects and plans developed for M&E input
  • Effectiveness of data collection tools and processes developed and implemented
  • Quality of reports for completed projects.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years relevant work experience.
