Job Title: Project Manager with Financial Acquisition Background

Location: Ogba, Ikeja - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief

  • As a Project Manager with a financial acquisition background, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage projects related to financial acquisitions, mergers, or strategic partnerships.
  • You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and delivery, ensuring that financial acquisition projects are completed successfully and within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and scope for financial acquisition initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, financial analysis, and due diligence to evaluate potential acquisition targets.

Financial Acquisition Execution:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the financial acquisition process, including negotiations, legal documentation, financial modeling, and integration planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective execution of the acquisition strategy.
  • Monitor and track progress, ensuring that project tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with financial acquisitions and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to minimize risks and maximize the success of the acquisition projects.
  • Address issues and obstacles promptly, escalating as necessary to ensure project progress.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, investors, legal counsel, and target companies, to ensure a clear understanding of project goals, timelines, and progress.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Perform financial analysis, including valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence, to support decision-making during the acquisition process.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, financial performance, and key milestones to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support to team members.
  • Set project objectives, assign tasks, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and innovation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Must have 3-5 years experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably with a focus on financial acquisitions, mergers, or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, valuation methods, and due diligence processes.
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to align financial objectives with broader organizational goals.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 / Month.
