Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our upcoming ventures.
  • As a Project Engineer at Beyond Bricks, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the project team, managing resources, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project plans in collaboration with the project manager and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities on construction sites to ensure adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor and assess project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet Beyond Bricks' standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any deficiencies in workmanship or materials.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors, providing guidance and resolving issues to maintain project timelines and quality.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and innovative construction practices.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices on construction sites.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and milestones.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project engineering within the construction industry.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with construction software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to develop and execute project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly to team members, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and resolving issues.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify, assess, and address challenges that may arise during construction projects.
  • A team-oriented mindset to collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and project planning, scheduling, and documentation tools.
  • Ability to ensure projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Decision-making skills to make informed choices that align with project goals and timelines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that construction projects meet quality standards and specifications.
