Job Title: Project Architect

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Oversee the development and implementation of architectural designs of projects.
  • Coordinate the activities of a project design team to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects.
  • Develop and implement policies for production of construction documents, architectural designs, and procedures for construction.
  • Carry out cost estimates to determine the budget required for project materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Oversee the project design and development team to ensure timely and effective completion of projects
  • Creating progress reports, time schedules, and revised budgets.
  • Provide recommendations on building code requirements, zoning and material specification.
  • Draft building plans for commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Prepare budgets, material documents, and specification lists for project execution.
  • Visit site regularly to ensure construction adheres to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain project quality control by reviewing and making necessary adjustments on design drawings.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the Head, Development and Planning.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Interact with project managers, and design team to identify and achieve project objectives
  • Solid architectural and engineering design coordination experience.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Project management experience is required.
  • Solid architectural and engineering design coordination experience.
  • Direct and coordinate project design and construction operations to ensure effective and timely completion.
