Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) is a woman- led organization born out of passion for the wellbeing of Women and Children in Nigeria. It has a special interest in mitigating the suffering of the vulnerable persons (mostly Women & Children) in times of crisis. Currently the organization has focused its attention on the North East of Nigeria with special emphasis in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states (the BAY states) due to the decade old crises. COWACDI intervenes through community-based approach in addressing Gender-Based Violence prevention and response programmes, child protection, peace-building programmes and empowerment of youth and women. COWACDI operates with full respect for humanitarian law and works with concrete policies and principles of international standard such as humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence and accountability to affected population.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Programme Assistant

Location: Maiduguri-Bama / Monguno / Ngala, Borno
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Support project coordination and monitor project implementation.
  • Support development, implementation, and monitoring of work plans and budgets.
  • Liaise with the project participants, community, and local authorities in the selection of project sites/wards (Bama, Monguno, Ngala), and commodity distribution as per the project design.
  • Provide regular updates to technical team to inform Programme decisions.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of good working relationships with the relevant State actors, community leaders, women groups, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support to State office programmes
  • Represent the organization and actively participate in planning and coordination meetings.
  • Support in the Preparation of project documentation including activity, monthly and quarterly project reports on implementation, and contribute to the final narrative reports as per donor requirements.
  • Support the Administrative team in developing ad hoc staff agreement documents and contracts
  • Support in facilitating the development and compilation of comprehensive draft monitoring and Evaluation reports.
  • Participate in project research processes.
  • Assume any other responsibility as assigned by the project coordinator.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 - 3 years work experience.
