We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Product Manager, USSD (894 Banking)

Location: Lagos
Job Schedule: Full time

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations on USSD Banking products, features and benefits to new and prospective clients as well as internal customers to promote sales and product development.
  • Identify opportunities and obtain new mandates from Billers and Service providers to enrich the USSD Banking Service Bouquet of products.
  • Update product policy document with new products, processes and characteristics as necessary.
  • Monitor product implementation and deployment with relevant stakeholders, and training of customer-engaging staff on new products and processes.
  • Review and propose solutions and enhancements to product development and usage.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional/industry publications (e.g. GSMA, Fintech, NCC, CBN) and establishing personal networks.

Research, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze data of competitors, industry, existing and target markets 
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, special reports and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation enhancements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and/ or external research agencies regarding product development and management

Product Planning and Management:

  • Prepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use cases to drive product activity.
  • Determine product packaging solutions.
  • Manage and negotiate with support vendors.
  • Develop pricing strategies and product policies.

Product Marketing:

  • Support and manage product event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand.
  • Support sales team (Retail Banking & Public Sector) and Regional Officers with the necessary product knowledge (proposals/RFPs/RFEs and technical expertise.
  • Provide inputs for marketing collateral development.
  • Supply sales teams with latest research and marketing information.
  • Prepare and conduct product presentations; develop sales tools and sales training materials.

Customer and End-User Support:

  • Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users.
  • Determine customers' needs and desires by conducting research needed to obtain market information.
  • Continuously review industry trends and client feedback to anticipate future market needs.
  • Use market feedback to inform product refinement and guide ongoing development and management. 

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum Education: First Degree in any relevant discipline. Additional Professional Certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum experience: 4-6 years cognate experience (Financial Services/Telecommunications).
