Job Description

  • Join our team in Jos City as a Procurement Manager. As a key player in our mining operations, you'll be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth procurement processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Suppliers: Identifying and evaluating suppliers who can provide necessary materials and equipment required.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: Identifying opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchasing, strategic sourcing, and process improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
  • Negotiating Contracts: Negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
  • Managing Inventory: Monitoring inventory levels of essential materials and equipment to ensure adequate supply for ongoing mining operations while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, preparing procurement reports, and documenting procurement activities for internal audit and regulatory compliance purposes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years experience as a procurement officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends.
  • Younger than 40 years of age.
