Job Title: Entry Level Procurement & Logistics Assistant (NYSC)

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Brief

  • We are looking for a smart and tech-savvy CorpMember (Males only) currently serving in Abuja to support and assistthe Procurement and Logistics Officer with activities that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations.
  • Undertake local purchasing in accordance with the company's Procurement Policy and Operations Handbook standard
  • You will work closely with a range of partners such as manufacturers, medical equipment distributors, and other NGOs across various projects and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Research potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g., on orders and costs.)
  • Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
  • He will be responsible in supporting toinspect, certify and receive goods and services delivered by vendors
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field (Desired)
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate clearly and appropriately
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Awareness of international development and global health issues, current trends and priorities
  • Excellent IT skills (particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and/or the Google suite equivalents)
  • Basic Understanding of supply chain procedures (Desired)
  • Basic knowledge of vendor sourcing practices i.e., researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors (Desired).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • GoodNegotiation skills
