Hamik Energy Limited was incorporated in 2010 to carry on business in the oil and gas industry in areas of oil well fishing services, well drilling and completions, coil tubing, solid control operations and equipment leasing. The company is also into oilfield and construction equipment leasing. Among the business of HAMIK ENERGY LIMITED is well testing, land logistics and other related services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Procurement / Contract Engineer

Location: Rivers
Job Type: Full time

Job Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of engineering contracts, including but not limited to, service agreements, procurement contracts, and project financing agreements.
  • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and advise management on the legal and financial implications.
  • Ensure all engineering projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s business strategies and goals to align contract negotiation and management processes with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the effectiveness of contract terms and conditions, identifying lessons learned and making recommendations for future contract strategies. 
  • Coordinate with project managers and other engineering staff to ensure contract specifications are met and identify any potential issues in project execution.
  • Implement and manage contract management tools, databases, and software to ensure efficient tracking, monitoring, and reporting of contract status, compliance, and performance.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and clients, to resolve any contract-related disputes or negotiations in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Must have an indepth knowledge in contracting and procurement.
  • Must reside within Eleme and its environs.
  • A Bachelor's Degree / HND in relevant field with 5 years experience.
