Initiative for Improved Humanity Foundation (IHF) responds to humanitarian crises, helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 2021, but duly registered with CAC 2023, IHF was borne out of the burden to improve lives of the downtrodden; especially women and children who are usually the most vulnerable in the society, and to impact on humanity in general. IHF offers lifesaving cares and also life changing assistance to the less-privileged in the society. With interventions in over 40 communities in Abuja and with plans on expanding her humanitarian works to other states in Nigeria and globally. IHF restores sense of dignity and spark ray of hope to millions who are despondent. IHF advances the way from harm to home.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 



Job Title: Outreach Coordinator

Location: Life Camp, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Major Responsibilities

  • The outreach coordinator will be working with the program department.
  • Carrying out IHF outreach or intervention plans or and activities in the coordination of such activity and plan.
  • Designed intervention or outreach initiatives to create or maintain a favourable public image for IHF and also raise issue awareness for the organization.
  • In sync with the program officer, the outreach coordinator will plan, direct and coordinate IHF outdoor activities, whether to solicit for funds, or for special projects or nonprofit activities.
  • Schedule and coordinate focus groups, IHF outdoor meetings, and outdoor presentations and encourage underserved communities to seek services through the program department.
  • Will be involved in public relations, volunteer relations, and fundraising. The outreach coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks, from data collection and analysis to organizing media events.
  • The outreach unit will have three volunteers that will work with the coordinator during an IHF outreach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Degree in Social or Development works or in any related field.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a large and dynamic workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Should have experienced driving skills with a valid driver’s license experience and good knowledge about minor car repairs.
  • At least 3 years experience in outreach coordination and events management
  • An extra certification or qualification will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated Managerial/Leadership Competencies
  • Excellent event planning and management skill.
  • Demonstrate leadership and communication skills
