Job Title: Chief Compliance Officer
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Overview

- The client is desirous of filling a key role with best-in class talent for the position of a Chief Compliance Officer.
- The job holder will be responsible for monitoring the organization’s compliance with all regulations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the organization complies with all regulatory requirements and internal policies that have been signed off by the Board.
- Continuously review the organization’s charter, policies and procedures, methodology, frameworks and tools for relevance and update where required, on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and maintain the organization’s internal compliance framework that includes best practices for regulatory compliance matters.
- Keep abreast of legislations and regulations applicable to the business
- Coordinate periodic reviews of the organizational and functional activities (Departments and Branches) and submission of reports on same to the Chief Risk Officer
- Perform or assist in the performance of special reviews at the request of the Chief Risk Officer.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant Anti-Money Laundering and related activities legislations.
- Provide advisory support service in respect of all compliance related queries.
- Assist in developing a Group wide compliance culture.
- Facilitate in compliance training for employees to communicate key regulatory changes and updates.
- Coordinate the investigation of suspicious and unusual transactions and activities.
- Make suggestions on how internal policies can be improved.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Risk Officer.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
- M.Sc. is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in risk/control functions with the financial services industry.
- Relevant Compliance/Risk Management certification or membership of International Compliance Associations is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of compliance philosophies, policies and management practices.
- Must possess experience in engaging directly with regulators.
- Clear understanding and knowledge of the business objectives and processes of various functions.
- Proven track record in the effective leadership and motivation of staff.
- Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, human resource procedures and regulations.
Job Title: Head, Treasury

- The suitable qualified candidate is responsible for maintaining the treasury & investment operations of the organization, maintaining and monitoring its position and ensuring adequate controls are in place for all related activities.

Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Develop and regularly review the investment strategy for the organization in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper and adequate management of the organization’s investment portfolio and monitor regular payments of dividends/ interests.
- Provide periodic updates and recommendations on investment securities to management, for decision making and ensure timely escalation and resolution to issues.
- Manage long-term and short-term investment strategies.
- Negotiate bank and service fees and implement new bank technologies, products and services to improve cash cycle and simplify company operations.
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investments
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- To manage relationships with the organization’s financial service providers; including banks, investments bankers, community development lenders, foundations and other stakeholder partners.
- Ensures that statutory and regulatory requirements of all investments are adhered to at all times.
- Provide assistance regulators and external auditors on investment related queries/issues during audit of the Holding Company’s accounts and records.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or any related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CPA; preferably at the fellowship level, or Treasury Dealership Certificate.
- Minimum of 12 years experience, out of which at least 8 must have been in a Treasury role within financial services/ telecoms/ retail.
- Must have previous treasury/trading management experience.
Required Skills
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CITN, CFA.
- Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS Accounting Policy.

Detailed Job Description
- Champion the development and implementation of the organization’s risk appetite, limits and tolerance levels.
- Assist the Board/Management to develop and communicate risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limits.
- Coordinate the identification, assessment and recording of business risks relating to processes and functions.
- Define the enterprise risk management framework and establish guidelines for the development and implementation of supporting policies and procedures.
- Incorporate risk considerations into strategic decision-making and ensure alignment between business strategies of line management and the risk policy.
- Ensure portfolio optimization through risk diversification and transfer strategies, in line with the risk/reward profile.
- Provide input into capital and resource allocation decisions.
- Establish and maintain a risk awareness culture and provide appropriate opportunities for organizational learning, including lessons learned from previous problems, on-going communication, training and development.

Minimum Educational Qualification
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in any related discipline.
- MSc in Risk Management is required.
- Minimum of 15 years’ post qualification experience, with at least 10 years’ experience in risk management, of which at least 7 must have been in the banking sector and at least 5 years in a senior management role
- A professional certification such as CFA, CIS, ACCA, ACA, CFP, GARP, PRMIA or any other equivalent qualification from a recogized professional body
- Any other relevant Risk Management certification is an added advantage.

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

- We are desirous of filling a key role with best-in class talent for the position of a Chief Internal Auditor.
- The role holder will be responsible for evaluating and maintaining the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the processes for assessing and improving internal controls, accounting and operating procedures and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement annual audit plan and ensure compliance to approved plans from all subsidiaries.
- Review internal audit and regulatory compliance reports and monitor the implementation of the recommendations.
- Approve and coordinate investigation into suspected fraudulent practices and determine/recommend the appropriate line of action in response to findings.
- Continuously review/assess the business and operational risks facing the organization in order to proactively establish appropriate mitigating controls and monitoring mechanism/frameworks.
- Supervise the design and building of control frameworks in business processes and systems.
- Interpret and analyze reports/data/information to identify possible risk exposure.
- Ensure compliance with good corporate governance practice.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- Professional accounting/ finance certification from a reputable professional body, e.g. ACA, ACCA, ICAN is required.
- Minimum of 15 years post-graduation experience in Financial Services with at least, 10 years’ experience in the financial management/accounting function 5 of which must be in a senor position within the audit function.
- Working knowledge of IFRS.
