Job Title: Field Assessor
Location: Ondo
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Field Assessors across the country to assist / support its data collection program across Ondo State in Nigeria.
  • The Field Assessors will work under the supervision of the State’s Technical Lead to conduct assessments in health facilities across the State. The program is operated in cooperation with the State Government. The primary duty of the role will be to conduct accurate quantitative and qualitative health facility assessments by interviewing respondents in facilities using a mobile application.
  • The Field Assessors would be hired full-time for the period of 8weeks and will work in grass-roots facilities throughout the State.

Key Duties

  • Interview health workers at health facilities
  • Interact with clinic staff and beneficiaries
  • Conduct high-quality rapid assessment
  • Collection of data and direct upload to mobile data collection platform
  • Assist with other duties related to the program

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of National Diploma, ideally Bachelor degree, preferably in the field of Health or other Natural Sciences
  • Fluency in local languages / dialects spoken in Ondo State. Please state the names of the languages / dialects you can speak and your fluency level for each language in your cover letter.
  • Nigerian nationals already based in Ondo State.
  • Must possess an Android phone.
  • Willingness to work at remote communities daily for three (3) weeks and take public transport to reach them
  • Experience with the Nigerian health system, particularly related to assessment & interviews.
  • Experience in collecting, synthesizing, and drawing conclusions from (health) data is desirable
  • Previous experience working on similar data collection projects in the health sector is a strong advantage

Job Title: Technical Support Officer

Locations: Adamawa, Enugu, Kebbi, Lagos, Niger, Ondo, Plateau and Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Summary

  • The Technical Officers will work directly with the Public Health officers under the supervision of the Project manager and HR Lead to coordinate and manage each state’s assessments across 160 health facilities within eight (8) states. They will be responsible for supervising and managing the field assessors to ensure proper data collection & assessment within the stipulated time frame.
  • The program is operated in cooperation with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in each State. The primary duty in the role will be to ensure quality, accurate and timely data collection in all assigned facilities across each state, provide optimal daily reports and summary of activities as well as facilitate and execute all liaison duties at state levels required for timely execution of the program.
  • Technical Officers are hired full-time for the period of four (4) weeks and will work directly with the field assessors in grass-root health facilities throughout the listed States.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate health facility assessment & data collection in each state
  • Liaise with state government health parastatals & local government to ensure cooperation in the execution of assessment
  • Interact with clinic staff and beneficiaries

Job Title: Data Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Summary

  • We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer to manage a data collection program across eight states in Nigeria.
  • He/she will work directly under the Project Lead and will aim to ensure that the data collected is of the highest quality and accurate at all times.

Job Description

  • The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for establishing procedures and quality standards and monitoring these against agreed targets/standards.
  • He/she would ensure that the data involved in the project are of suitable quality at all times. The officer must possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to make considered decisions and to communicate them effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the data collected is accurate and of the highest quality at all times.
  • Review all the tools and processes to ensure that they are of high quality and standard.
  • Prepare a pre-testing report with observations and recommendations from the pilot tests.
  • Deploy the data collection tools at the testing facilities and carry out data collection using the developed tools.
  • Test the data quality, and efficiency of the data collection tools and processes used.
  • Organise data review meetings to ensure quality data was collected.
  • Coordinate data security checks and database checks to ensure data is not lost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field such as Computer Science or related fields with a minimum of 1-year work experience.
  • Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor.
  • Superb computer competence, including database management.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practices.

 

 

Job Title: Public Health Project Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Summary

  • We are recruiting for a Public Health Project Manager to manage a data collection program across eight states in Nigeria.
  • S/he will work directly under the Project Lead and will act as a general supervisor overseeing the project activities and making decisions that will sustain and yield a desirable impact on the project.

Job Description

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project from the point of conception to execution. S/he should be very proactive, a strategic thinker, an effective communicator and have a great understanding of Public Health Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders and prepare project requirement documents (Write up PRD for the project)
  • Prepare project planning documentation like charter, daily project report templates, glossary, assumption risk documents and mitigation plans
  • Review proposal work plan and prepare work breakdown structure and Grant chart
  • Develop logistics plan for the pretesting process of the project, including pretesting locations and contact persons
  • Secure 2 facilities for the pretesting; Deploy pretesting tools at the pretesting facilities.
  • Develop logistics and travel plans for all the technical support officers
  • Supervise the field assessors, technical support officers and monitor data collection activities
  • Organize daily stand up meetings and collection of daily reports
  • Collate reports from the field teams in the different states and prepare a comprehensive data collection report
  • Prepare project closing reports and submissions.
  • Report and accelerate risks or blockers within the projects on a daily basis
  • Make executive decisions on behalf of the Project Lead requirements.
  • Any other related tasks assigned by the Project Lead.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Public Health or IT related Degree. A Masters Degree in Public health or Computer Science is an added advantage.
  • MBA / MPH is an added advantage
  • A minimum of 1+ years working in a related role.
  • At least one year of managerial experience.
