The Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, (FUDMA) is located in Dutsin-Ma town, Katsina State. The town is located about 60km south of the state capital. The university is ICT driven and envisioned to be a top ranking, world-class university, committed to excellence in research and production of generation of leaders with passion for service and integrity. The University commenced academic activities in July, 2012 and had graduated four sets of students so far. The Governing Council of the University hereby invites applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the position below:       Job Title: Director of Procurement (CONTISS II 15) Code: DP Location: Katsina Functions

  • Director of Procurement heads the Directorate of Procurement. He/she provides secretarial services to the University Tenders Board and chairs the Technical Evaluation Committee
  • He/she provides technical procurement advice and guide in line with the Public Procurement Act 2007
  • He/she executes any other activities related to procurement of supplies, works and services as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor to whom he/she is responsible.
Qualifications
  • Good honours Degree in Accounting, Social Sciences, Business Administration or Law from a recognised university;
  • Membership registration of relevant professional bodies;
  • Attainment of the position of Assistant Director or equivalent;
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience, five (5) of which shall be in a senior position in a tertiary educational institution;
  • A good knowledge of word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint computer packages.

      Job Title: University Legal & Industrial Relations Officer (CONTISS II 13) Code: ULIRO Location: Katsina Functions
  • ULIRO is responsible for interpreting and advising on legal matters concerning the University
  • He/she represents the University at courts and other legal fora
  • He/she also handles industrial and union matters in the University
  • The Legal Unit is under the Registry and he/she is answerable to the Registrar.
Qualifications
  • Possession of LL.B, BL;
  • At least ten (10) years of post call experience, at least five (5) of which must have been in a tertiary institution.

  • Director, University Health Services dispenses health and manages and administers the health sector including the medical personnel
  • He/she explains, advises on and implements health policies and services as they affect staff, students and-the environment of the University
  • He/she is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
Qualifications
  • MBBS plus at least twelve (12) years of post-housemanship experience;
  • Postgraduate training in Public Health, Community Health and Family Medicine or General Medicine is an added advantage.

      Job Title: Director, Security (CONTISS II 15) Code: DS Location: Katsina Functions
  • Director, Security heads the security architecture of the University and safeguards lives and properties
  • He/she is responsible for providing and ensuring a secured environment in academic and residential areas of the University to guarantee learning, teaching and research
  • He/she advises on and is responsible for implementing the security policy of the University
  • In executing these duties he/she is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
Qualifications
  • Must possess, at least, First Degree or equivalent in any field of study;
  • Must have attained, at least, the rank of serving or retired Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) in the Nigeria Police or equivalent rank in other security outfits;
  • Must have had, at least, 10 years experience in commanding positions;

      Job Title: Director, Physical Planning and Works (PP&W) (CONTISS II 15) Code: DPPW Location: Katsina Functions
  • The Director PP&W, inter alia heads the Directorate, coordinates, supervises and maintains the physical development and projects of the University in such a way as to ensure quality and standard. In discharging these duties, he/she is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
Qualifications
  • Good honours Degree in Engineering courses, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or Building from a recognised university
  • Membership registration of COREN, CORBON, QSRBN, TOPREC, ARCON, or any other relevant professional bodies;
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience, five (5) of which shall be in a senior position in a tertiary educational institution
  • The Candidate must have attained the rank of Deputy Director or equivalent;
  • A good knowledge of engineering and environmental design computer packages, including Civil Cad, Archi Cad, Prota Structure, Revit, Matlab etc;
