The Center for Clinical Care and Clinical Research is an indigenous, non-profit organization that promotes best practices in health care delivery, medical training and research using locally-adapted models of health systems strengthening. Established in 2010, CCCRN implements projects through a team of experienced health and allied professionals that include clinicians, laboratorians, community workers and health information specialists and in partnership with multiple national and international organizations. CCCRN currently implements multiple health projects through donor funds in Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Delta, Imo, Anambra and Benue states.
We are recruiting to fill the positions of:  
   
Job Title: Program Support Officer Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom & Abuja, FCT Job Type: Full Time
Job Summary
  • Program Support Officeris responsible for front desk coordination and management of the organisations reception area, receiving guest and directing them appropriately.
  • He/She will support the CCCRN central procurement system for state level procurementin concordance with CCCRN policies.
  • Provide overall support to the CentralHuman Resource (HR) unit, by supporting state staff in application of the HR policies at the state level,provide support to employees on HR issues, maintain state level HR records and coordinate staff support with central HR unit.
Job Specific Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the reception area, receives guest and guide them appropriately
  • Manage the CCCRN call center, respond and channel inquiries and correspondence appropriately.
  • Receive all external electronic or paper based correspondence on behalf of the organisations, channel and distribute in mail box appropriately.
  • Manage the State procurement process by processing approved request in concordance with CCCRN policies, liaising with central office procurement unit for prompt processing of request beyond state procurement levels.
  • Oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, coordinating bid selection process of prequalified vendors in line with CCCRN policies and ensure process completion within a good turnaround time.
  • Ensure adequate documentation and record keeping of all procurement transactions, guaranteeitems and services procured are from credible suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions with acceptable turnaround time.
  • Conduct annual prequalification of vendor listing at the field office level in concordance with CCCRN procurement policies.
  • Maintain an asset register of all project assets in collaboration with Administration Officer
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
  • The drivers will operate the vehicles in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life, in consonance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Duties include performing daily safety and maintenance checks, daily cleaning of vehicles as scheduled/or required, pick up and deliver staff as per a set schedule and ensure safe, secure storing of the vehicles.
  • S/He will advise his/her supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs as well as ensure staff conform to safety procedures always and note any breach of these protocols by staff
Job Specific Responsibilities
  • The incumbents will be responsible for ensuring that the minimum maintenance standard ofthe CCCRN/Nigeria’s fleet as stated in the vehicle manufacturer’s specification.
  • S/he will also follow up and ensure that routine preventive maintenance schedules for thevehicles are strictly adhered to in a manner that will assure reliable transportation of CCCRNstaff, assets and other goods.
  • Make recommendations and implement measures that will safeguard the CCCRN Nigeriavehicles and vehicle equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce the possibility of theft or damage.
  • Ensure that daily checks are performed on assigned vehicle before it is driven in the morning.
  • Completes the Daily Vehicle Reports and submits to the Admin and Logistics officer each day
  • Check and ensure that all journeys and trips (no matter how short) are recorded using theVehicle Logbook provided in each vehicle.
  • Notifies the Head of Office, Security Officer and Admin/Logistics officer immediately inaccident situations, after checking that all persons involved are safe and follows theprocedure for what to do in case of an accident.
  • Responsible for ensuring that CCCRN vehicles are clean at all times
  • Be familiar with, and ensure adherence to the policies and guidelines in the Vehicle Usage andMaintenance Manuals
  • Ensure that all travel planning procedures are followed by staff traveling in CCCRN vehiclesand that all the relevant forms are completed
  • Complete the Motor Vehicle Monthly reports /Fuel Usage report and motor vehicle monthly
  • Maintenance report by the 1st of each month.
  • Ensure that vehicles are driven safely and in line with CCCRN procedures and regulations.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Supervisor and Head of Office.

Qualification and Skills
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s license and good knowledge of road network within Akwa Ibom and Cross River with a minimum of four years’ professional experience in a similar position

Job Summary
  • The IT Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the installation, usage, and maintenance of the office IT system,
  • Will support the Information Communication Technology for Development component of the project along with the project strategic information team
  • Manages the IT unit and all organisations IT equipment set ups and maintenance as well as conductfirst level troubleshooting of issues with organisations IT system.
  • S/He will manage installation and configuration of computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone, using application or in person
Job Specific Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and replace parts as required
  • Liaise with procurement to procure high-speed, durable computers and assisted software for the project team when required.
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Support the roll-out of new applications developed
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and create new passwords
  • Manage IT setup for the proposed situation room,
  • Test and evaluate new technology and recommend for use to support project management, performance tracking and service delivery monitoring
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Responsible for IT inventory; work closely with the grants and compliance team and procurement team to monitor distribution and location of IT equipment among  CSO partners and  perform a quarterly inventory and use optimization check-up
  • Keep the network healthy by applying all required security patches and monitoring the correct delivery of all antivirus updates
  • Implement and document a disaster recovery plan and offsite storage of backed up data
  • Provide the delivery team with the domain knowledge support to facilitate effective use of IT solution to meet program service requests
  • Works with users to elicit high-level requirements and capture needs to create a more user-friendly solution.
  • Clearly articulates and documents functional requirements in a form of Standard Operating Procedure
  • Review Requirements/Request, Problems Statement and Business Functional Requirements (BFR) to ascertain effectiveness of the IT solution

  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SharePoint is required.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in similar role
  • Knowledge and experience in basic hardware (how hardware works), operating systems (like Windows Server and Window Application) and training on other applications.
  • Ability to solve some of the hardware problems on their own and provide good support on applications to the users (job specific).
  • Comfortable with data handling! management and excellent attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with IT packages necessary for public health will be an added advantage.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide support in Coordinating crosscutting technical programmatic areas and create systems for program reporting obligations to funders, support the setting of the project learning, adaptive and collaborative objectives.
  • Provide support to the program in rolling out the implementation of the project learning agenda that creates, captures, organizes and translate, share and apply knowledge to improve ICHSSA 1programs.
  • Institute process for developing of newsletter, factsheets, news nuggets and success stories in collaboration with the CLA advisor.
  • Support the CLA advisor in the development of operational research agenda and protocol and coordinate with senior management in obtaining funders approval.
  • Work with database manager and create filling systems to ensure project reports, thematic reports, Monthly CSO reports are routinely archived in the appropriate files in ICHSSA cloud share points.
  • Work with Finance and Grants team to develop an attribution template to track different OVC domain cost and contribute to the development and improvements in the projects OVC costing approach, related to effectiveness and impact optimization. This should include tracking finances for sustainable program impact and alignment with the HIV 95- 95-95 goals.
  • Develop a directory of, and initiate network referral coordination of households and OVCs to other support services not provided for by the project with the aim of improving household well-being.
  • Facilitate and create resource mobilization mapping and opportunities within the state by facilitating private sector collaboration and create new opportunities to further leverage sources for the wellbeing of the orphans and vulnerable households.
  • Support the senior management in the coordination of state workplans for the project and review for alignment with result areas and output indicators. Assist in supporting a process to ensure timely information and access to approval processes as needed/required to implement ICHSSA 1 activities
  • Assist the COP in facilitating the coordination of communications (written, oral, and electronic) required to support the ICHSSA 1 program
  • Review and monitor the preparation of relevant project documents, substantial sections of reports, studies, and inputs for publications
  • Contribute into corporate exercises for planning, monitoring and reporting on results achieved through projects implementation support, studies, strategies, policy dialogue and capacity development activities.
  • Contribute in the production of analytical tools, background papers, analysis, or concept notes

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Development Studies, Social Work or other health related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in program specialist position managing and implementing international development activities in Nigeria, with preference given to OVC and HIV/AIDS/Health.
  • Strong track record of HIV/AIDS programming, understanding of the PEPFAR 95-95-95 goals and proven ability to produce demonstrable technical and program results
  • Knowledge and understanding of OVC issues, Child Protection and Adolescent challenges and policy for HIV Care for Children, and OVC Case Management, in addition to extensive knowledge of key actors in these fields
  • Previous 5 years’ experience of managing sub-award recipients

Job Title: Communication and Infographic Specialist Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom Job Type: Full time
Background
  • CCCRN implements projects through a team of 72 experienced health and allied professionals that include clinicians, laboratorians, community workers and health information specialists (see Annex 8 for the organizational organogram).
  • CCCRN has established footprints in 14 states of Nigeria with offices in Abuja and Benue, where it has implemented quality public health initiatives and contributed to the global knowledge of effective health solutions in Nigeria.
  • CCCRN is the new recipient of the Integrated Child Health and Social Service Award (ICHSSA) to increase access to high-quality comprehensive services and strengthen the capacity of families and communities living in target communities to care for and protect the children in their care. The project is implemented in 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State and in 10 LGAs of Cross River State.
Major Responsibilities
  • The specialist will be responsible for developing quality and visually appealing presentations, content management, communication materials for the ICHSSA 1 through graphic design and web optimization solutions.
  • Assess communications needs and priorities for ICHSSA 1, develop communications and outreach strategy based on CCCRN corporate communications strategy;
  • Constructive and timely advice to integrate advocacy and communication strategies into all aspects of ICHSSA 1 activities;
  • Propose and implement ICHSSA 1 outreach activities such as dialogues, roundtables, panel discussions, and joint events with project partners;
  • Develop and maintain contacts with USAID, government officials, NGOs, journalists and other key policy-makers and identify targets of opportunity and vehicles to communicate with these constituencies; and
  • Design and maintain outreach list to remain in contact with key audiences
  • Develop infographics using supplied data to present core messages and organize complex information into visual representations for ICHSSA 1-supported state
  • Deliver creative infographics and technical solutions for print, electronic and animated presentations.
  • Deliver high-quality photographs and videos, maps, charts, information graphics and branding to support project documentation.
  • Develop the visual design taking into consideration typography, iconography, layout and brand identity
  • Conceptualize and execute creative graphic design and layout for research, presentations, scorecards and communiques to Stakeholders
  • Perform other tasks assigned to him/her by ICHSSA 1 Project Management Team.

Skills, Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, IT, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience in copywriting and editing
  • Must possess knowledge of graphic design software and tools including Adobe Creative Cloud: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint
  • 2-3+ years of experience in professional commercial design
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript, PowerPoint, Prezi, Web Content Management System (CMS) experience, audio editing, video editing, writing, web analytics, familiarity with designing for accessibility and usability
  • Experience work in the health sector will be an added advantage
  • Must have a strategic understanding of marketing/communication/social media campaigns in order to recommend and incorporate visual communications. Adaptive design eye, attention to detail, creative thinking skills, and a strong sense of concept development.
  • Ability to handle concurrent projects and multi-task.
  • A portfolio of past works is required.
