Job Title: General Manager, Finance
Location: Nigeria
Job Summary
- To anticipate and control financial risks by ensuring the
availability of accurate and current financial data and financial
resources in line with ActivEdge' business objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and champion the articulation and development’s strategy
ensuring alignment with company’s corporate strategy and business
goals.
- Provide overall guidance, leadership support and strategic
direction in the execution of the division’s functions and activities.
- Enforce corporate governance in the Company’s financial decision making.
- Oversee the development of the company’s corporate budget and allocation of financial resource.
- Maintain financial responsibility in company’s assets in terms of accounts, valuations and loss protection.
- Coordinate timely preparation of the company’s financial
statement ensuring accuracy and compliance with stationary and
regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proactive and accurate generation of relevant reports to aid management’s decision making process.
- Coordinate the identification of risks, their short and long-term financial implications and advise Management accordingly.
- Oversee the establishment of efficient controls to mitigate identified financial risks
- Ensure the development and implementation of finance and
accounting policies, procedures and processes in line with leading
practices and accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with relevant financial institutions and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and submit periodic management reports and activities.
Competency and Skill Requirements
- First Degree in any discipline preferably in Accounting or any other finance or business related discipline
- Excellent appreciation of financial risks and mitigating controls
- Strong knowledge of heading finance and accounting, standards practices and processes
- Strong understanding of international and local tax & regulatory framework
- Good understanding of the ICT industry
- Relevant professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA,
CPA, CIMA or other relevant higher business degree with proven
analytical and qualitative accounting/finance competencies.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years cognate experience in finance account
management/ tax auditing, at least 4 years of which must have been at
management level
- Strong negotiating and business development skills
- Ability to think strategically and holistically
- Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Job Title: IT Business Analyst
Location: Nigeria
Job Summary
- Responsible for requirements gathering and solutions quality
testing during pre-implementation and prior to releasing new software
and features.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal/external clients to gather project requirements and system specifications.
- Analyze business requirements and technical processes to assess
the need and to help identify solutions for processes and/or system
enhancements.
- Oversee the process of defining requirements and business cases for the technology development of applications.
- Support the execution of cross-functional projects.
- Support the technical team during the development cycle.
- Supporting the creation of quality assurance test plans and test scripts.
- Develop extensive detailed documentation of the business cases, rules and system requirements.
- Create full documentation of actual processes and future
processes of the company, departmental policies, procedures and software
application manuals.
- Document and perform quality and integration tests of
applications to ensure the documented requirements and business needs
are met
- Support users during applications implementation; provide user training and ongoing support.
Competency and Skill Requirements
- Experience in IT Business / Systems Analysis and Quality Assurance
- Knowledge of SQL queries and software programming languages.
- Experience in generating process documentation
- Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant
conclusions, modeling techniques and methods and in data visualization
techniques and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
- Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis.
Job Title: Accounts Manager
Location: Nigeria
Job Summary
- Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to
determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss,
tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial
commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly closing, cost accounting reports and report to the management.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient
use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and
maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts and document business transactions.
- Liaise with vendors and clients on invoice submission and payments.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensure compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial
statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy,
completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Competency and Skill Requirements
