Initiative for Improved Humanity Foundation (IHF) responds to humanitarian crises, helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 2021, but duly registered with CAC 2023, IHF was borne out of the burden to improve lives of the downtrodden; especially women and children who are usually the most vulnerable in the society, and to impact on humanity in general. IHF offers lifesaving cares and also life changing assistance to the less-privileged in the society. With interventions in over 40 communities in Abuja and with plans on expanding her humanitarian works to other states in Nigeria and globally. IHF restores sense of dignity and spark ray of hope to millions who are despondent. IHF advances the way from harm to home.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer

Location: Life Camp, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Major Responsibilities

  • Support development, review and implementation of project M&E system/plans, SOPs, guidance and measurement tools in line with the IHF MEAL Handbook
  • Closely work with the program manager and program team to ensure that all program team have tested standard monitoring tools that capture both activity and indicator progress over time.
  • Ensure the development and localization of Clients Responsiveness Mechanism across IHF sites in Nigeria
  • Develop tools that aid in documenting, storing, and sharing lessons learned that have implications for the refinement of best programmatic practice.
  • Update and provide data and information to the program manager on IHF project performance.
  • Work with program staff to ensure that IHF workplan include monitoring activities (or that a stand-alone monitoring work plan is in place), is up-to-date and progress tracked.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in (Statistics, Social Science, Public Health, Economics or related field).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing M&E project components.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and facilitation skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a large and dynamic workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent database, data management, and data analysis skills, with experience using at least 2 software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, SPSS and STATA
  • Proven abilities to develop monitoring plans, data collection, information management, use of databases, and analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Strong commitment to IHF’s mission, purpose and values.
  • Demonstrated Managerial/Leadership Competencies
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in consensus building and partnerships.
