Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Taraba Advocacy and Rehabilitation (TARe) Foundation


Taraba Advocacy and Rehabilitation (TARe) Foundation is an independent development and humanitarian non-profit organization established in 2003 committed to enhancing the quality of lives of the vulnerable population including women, children, and key populations (KP) in Nigeria. We provide locally driven solutions to advance better health, education, and other social services development outcomes.  TARe Foundation is registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

TARe in partnership with AHNI will implement a six months national Aligned HIV/AIDS Initiative (NAHI) project. The project aims to promote the acceleration of high-quality HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services for KPs (FSW) programs in Taraba State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Jalingo, Taraba
Job Type: Full Time

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of all project activities toward achieving the project output;
  • Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
  • Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the project’s success;
  • Suggest strategies to the Project Officer for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities.
  • Applicant must be from the KP community (FSW).
  • Provide inputs, information, and statistics for monthly, quarterly, and other reports to Project Management Team
  • Provide feedback to the Project Officer on project strategies and activities;

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Operational Research, Development Studies, or any Social Sciences; an M.Sc Degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional, good organizational capacity, good human relationships, motivated, flexible, culturally sensitive.
  • Fluency in English and pidgin
  • Candidates must be from FSW.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an NGO focused on Community HIV Prevention and Linkage most especially among FSW and other Key populations
  • Familiarity with the FSW typology community.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
