Job Summary

  • The M & E Assistant will work to support data collection, verification and reporting for the AMPLI-PPHI project in Kebbi State.
  • The M & E Assistant will work closely with the Data Analyst and State Program Officer in ensuring timely and accurate assessment, monitoring and research data management, and reporting, contributing to development of paper-based and/or mobile data collection tools, and adherence to standard operating procedures, including routine data quality assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders at health facility, LGA and State levels to ensure timely reporting of AMPLI-PPHI indicators.
  • Responsible for entry of relevant data into project databases (DHIS2) and JADE, Jhpiego’s organization-wide performance management system, designed to capture, analyze, and disseminate project data
  • Contribute to development of data collection tools
  • Support key stakeholders to utilize data for decision making.
  • Support program team in MER
  • Assist in management and quality assurance of implementation research and routine service data.
  • Liaise with Community volunteers to ensure timely reporting of community level data to project database.
  • Data collection, cleaning, validation and triangulation.
  • Support training, supervision, mentorship and graphing of data to strengthen data quality at supported sites.
  • Strengthen the use of data at state, facility, and community level for decision making

Required Qualifications

  • A degree in Statistics, Public Health, Information Technology, Social Sciences or other related discipline.
  • 3-4 years experience with at least 2 years’ experience in RMNCAH programming and use of data for decision-making
  • Experience and familiarity with national health management information system and/or DHIS2.
  • Good facilitation and training skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Implementation research data collection and/or analysis experience.
  • Good computer skills, especially working knowledge of MS word, Power point presentation and MS Excel. Knowledge and skill for use of scientific package for social science or any other software for data analysis will be an advantage
