We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Mobile Harbour Crane Operator
Ref.: AT-234901
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Follows safe operating procedures and instructions, preventing any injury to persons, or damage to containers and other equipment and property.
- Carries out duties and tasks in an efficient, productive manner.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Acts as Foreman under Hook when not operating STS Cranes.
- Operates mobile cranes, quay cranes and vessel cranes to load and unload containers to and from vessels in the port.
- Inspects equipment at beginning of shift to ensure that all of the parts are operating properly.
- Identifies and reports any safety problems, malfunctions, or damage to quay crane equipment, before, during or after the shift.
Job Requirements
We are looking for:
- Age range of 25 to 35.
- Must hold a valid Driver's license with at least 5 years driving experience.
- Excellent visual acuity.
- Works well under pressure.
- Requires good verbal and written communications skills.
- Thoroughly familiar with the strict implementation of international standards of safe working practices terminal operations.
- Requires a comprehensive understanding of container terminal operations, especially vessel cargo logistics, hazardous cargo, break-bulk and special cargo handling requirements and equipment.
- Previous experience of working in a multi cultural environment is an advantage.
- Requires capability to anticipate problems; recognize key issues in problems and escalate to immediate supervisor.
- Minimum SSCE/WAEC requirement.
- The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years experience of equipment operations terminal operations environment, or similar, related industry.
- Previous experience as a reach stacker operator, empty handler and RTG Operator would be expected as a natural progression to this position.
Job Title: Mobile Harbour Crane Electrician

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support with service, repair, deploy, remove and stow away equipment as required using safe driving techniques and safe parking procedures.
- Provide correct information on Work Orders and other job documentation, ensuring an accurate record of work performed, time taken to complete work, spare parts and materials used etc.
- If needed, perform minor repairs on tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instruction / manual.
- Report defective tools and equipment to immediate foremen / supervisor.
- Comply with all disaster contingency plans and contingency cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensures waste disposal is performed as per company procedures
- Ensure that recognized safe working practices are utilized for all terminal operations and maintain effective implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Provide first line of response for any accident / incident investigation, emergency situations and damage assessments.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensures waste disposal is performed as per company procedures.
- Troubleshoot and effect repairs on electrical circuits, control systems and electrical component elements. This includes the modification of components and servicing techniques in conjunction with the Crane Supervisor and / or Crane Foreman to improve efficiency.

- The ideal candidate will have at least five years previous experience as Electrician in any ports, mines, steel and manufacturing plants plus shift working experience.
- Trade test certificate in electrical technician.
- Thoroughly familiar with the strict implementation of international standards of safe working practices terminal operations.
- Previous experience of working in a multi cultural environment is an advantage.
- Requires capability to anticipate problems; recognize key issues in problems and escalate to immediate supervisor.
Job Title: Mobile Harbour Crane Mechanic

Key Responsibilities
- Have sufficient knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act. Enforce safe working procedures, for the purpose of safety of employees and people around you.
- To carry out repairs to defects as per Examiners defect list. To ensure safe working and minimize breakdowns to machinery and equipment.
- Ensure that recognized safe working practices are utilized for all terminal operations and maintain effective implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Provide first line of response for any accident / incident investigation, emergency situations and damage assessments.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensures waste disposal is performed as per company procedures.
- To repair, fault find and diagnose faults on Mobile Harbor Cranes, Rubber Gantry Cranes, Spreaders and other equipment. Also to Refurbish Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic components.
- To evaluate and analyse the nature, cause and perform the repairs of breakdowns. Determining the optimal way of dealing with the problem, to achieve a quality and cost effective solution, as well as minimal downtime and maximum Operational availability of Container handling equipment.
- Use sound knowledge of rigging procedures to recover equipment from yard due to accidents as efficiently as possible, ensuring minimal delays to operations.
