Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking a marketing officer to join our Lagos Team.
  • As a Marketing Officer within our Group Marketing Team, you play a pivotal role in driving the marketing efforts for our retail division.
  • You will collaborate closely with the Group Marketing Team to align brand and marketing strategies, yet your primary focus will be tailoring campaigns and initiatives to suit the unique needs and objectives of the retail division.
  • Reporting directly to the Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, you will ensure the conceptualization, development, and execution of the retail division’s holistic and tactical marketing plans as fits under the Masterbrand and group marketing agenda.
  • You will be accountable for providing support for the division’s market research, competitor analysis, product positioning, customer acquisition and retention, and customer experience strategies.
  • This role is for a strategic and creative thinker who can balance autonomy with teamwork in achieving marketing success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Work with Group Marketing to align Brand Architecture
  • Uphold and enhance the company's brand identity across all communication channels.
  • Align brand messaging and ensure consistency with brand manual.
  • Lead the development of marketing collateral for the division including presentations, brochures, banners, etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and employees.
  • Create targeted campaigns across various channels to promote products, services, and brand awareness.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies for maximum effectiveness.
  • Deliver on the Retail Division’s Marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate events, sponsorships, and community outreach programs to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Respond to inquiries and feedback from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support with generating engaging content for various platforms, including website, social media, and email newsletters.
  • Keep track of net promoter score as well as other customer experience metrics including acquisition and churn rate.
  • Translate group brand promise to stakeholder division and escalate when threatened.
  • Track mentions and alerts across all channels to ensure the brand reputation is optimal and protected.
  • Execute crisis management at stakeholder division level and ensure strict compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for content creation.
  • Ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Support the group marketing team to improve and achieve set individual and organizational goals.
  • Support CEA with creative communication to stakeholders as aligned with brand tone of voice.

Requirements

  • BA/B.Sc./HND in Advertising, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism and Marketing or related field (2.2/Upper Credit Minimum)
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the telecommunications/technology sector or advertising agency.
  • An eye for emerging consumer trends and identifying threats in competitive marketing.
  • Data-driven mindset and an understanding of key marketing metrics in measuring success.
  • Experience developing marketing reports to showcase KPI achievements leveraging such tools as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience working within a group marketing structure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Understanding of marketing principles, branding strategies, and communication techniques.
  • Ability to execute marketing strategies across ATL and BTL channels.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing to support sales and customer experience.

Salary

  • N300,000 - N400,000 monthly
