Job Title: Marketing & Communications Manager
Location: Nigeria
Job Objective / Purpose of Job
- To champion, the articulation and implementation of effective branding, marketing, and communication strategies aimed at meeting customer needs and ultimately enhancing the brand equity and reputation of the organization.
Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Branding and Public Relations:
- Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of the company’s marketing, communications, and public relations program that will enhance the organization’s image and position in the marketplace and public.
- Responsible for editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all organization publications.
- Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
- Act as the Organization’s representative with the media.
- Coordinate the appearance of all Organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
- Ensure the Company regularly conducts relevant market research and oversees its activities whilst monitoring trends.
- Provide support to business development teams to develop customer propositions and marketing communications.
- Plan and coordinate company sponsored /invited events, conferences, social events, and employee events to ensure these activities plans are delivered effectively.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on brand-building initiatives. Corporate Communication
- Ensure articulation of the Company’s vision and goals whilst ensuring consistent communication of the brand throughout all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Manage corporate communications editorial calendar of campaigns, press releases, product announcements, events, and key milestones.
- Develop and communicate internal announcements, newsletters, and executive emails.
- Ensure community participation in the implementation of identified CSR projects and initiatives.
- Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the company’s CSR strategy and ensure alignment with corporate strategy, business goals, and objectives.
- Facilitate all external marketing communications activities and materials.
- Drive all external customer feedback evaluation and survey Planning & Budgeting
- Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations business goals and financial objectives.
- Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate the performance.
- Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications, public relations, not-for-profit management and governance, and the specific business of the Organization and use this information to help the Organization operate with initiative and innovation. Job Specification
- Education Qualification: A good Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or any other relevant or related field of study from an accredited University.
- Professional Qualification: Professional qualifications (NIM) are desirable.
- Experience Minimum of 8 years’ experience. 5 years relevant experience. At least 2 years as a supervisor in a similar role
