Job Title: Manufacturing Data Analyst

Location: Kano State
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Manufacturing Data Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and improving production processes within our manufacturing operations.
  • This position will gather and interpret data, and provide insights into production efficiency.
  • The ideal candidate must have a solid analytical background and experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to production output, cycle time, labor utilization, and machine performance.
  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement to optimize production processes.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making.

Project Support:

  • Support project teams with data analysis and insights on new product introductions, process changes, or equipment upgrades.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to represent production data insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of project proposals and performance analyses for management review.

Performance Reporting:

  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on production performance, including yield rates, downtime, throughput, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights to production and management teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Assist in developing dashboards and visualization tools to enhance reporting efficiency and clarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to various stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations analysis role.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, statistical methods, and manufacturing metrics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
