Job Title: Manager, Ground Services Training and Procedures

Job Role

  • The overall responsibility of the Technical Training & Compliance Manager is to oversee and manage Airport services function, the appropriate processes, procedures, and requirements for the initial and recurrent training of all internal and external personnel who perform operational duties and functions within the scope of airport service operations. Carry out day-to-day oversight of the activities of Green Africa Airport Management Team.
  • To manage and ensure safe, efficient, and timely airport operations.
  • Implement and periodically review strategy to ensure that Green Africa airport staff fulfil all procedures, standards, and instruction as stated in the Ground Services Manual.
  • To oversee the management and control of data, processes, procedures, and appropriate, current and relevant documentation within the scope of Ground Handling.
  • To ensure the retention and dissemination of documentation received from external sources.
  • Coordinate with all Airport Services Vendors and ensure compliance with SLA.
  • Regular liaison with Management of Handling Agents and other service suppliers to identify problems areas and find solution to them.
  • Close oversight on the Airport Operations by ensuring Green Africa image reputation and customer service levels are maintained and enhanced to the highest standards.

Qualifications

  • A graduate of university Degree level or equivalent in any field of study.
  • At least 5 years’ industry experience in a related role with experience of supervising and managing people.
  • In-depth knowledge of management practices within the Airline Industry will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Effective time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience in Budget development and Management
  • Must possess relevant training skills and certification.
  • Ability to multi-task and make critical decision.
  • Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Project and working knowledge of computer-based operation tools is a must.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of IATA practices.
