Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary
- The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the automotive manufacturing facility, ensuring that all production machinery, robotics, and other equipment are operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, including electricians, mechanics, and other specialized personnel.
- Schedule, assign, and prioritize maintenance tasks based on production needs and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and ensure continuous development of the maintenance team.
Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee the maintenance of all production machinery, including CNC machines, robotics, conveyors, presses, and other automotive manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
- Coordinate and manage emergency and corrective maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure timely ordering and availability of critical spare parts to minimize production downtime.
- Implement a system for tracking and managing spare parts usage and inventory levels.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and safety inspections.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance metrics, including equipment uptime, downtime, maintenance costs, and work order completion rates.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for audits and regulatory inspections.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor maintenance costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising equipment reliability.
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors for parts, services, and equipment to optimize costs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with industry safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive production processes, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software.
Working Conditions:
- May require working in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery.
- Availability to respond to emergency maintenance needs, including nights and weekends.
Salary
N400,000 Monthly.
