Ridgewell used to be a single proprietor company under a different name owned by one of its present incorporators engaged in the construction of various kinds of buildings.

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire an experienced maintenance electrician to look after the electrical system of our facilities.
  • The maintenance electrician will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections, perform routine electrical maintenance, respond to faults and wiring issues, and install major electrical appliances for the facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and components to ensure they are working correctly and safely.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Install new electrical systems and wiring in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
  • Respond to electrical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and management to ensure efficient operations.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using diagrams, blueprints, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a maintenance electrician or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects and work in various environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with national and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment (e.g., voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Salary
N70,000 - N90,000 / Month.
