Job Title: Legal and Regulatory Manager

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full Time

Role Summary

  • This role shall take responsibility for contract drafting and vetting towards ensuring total and complete protection of company’s interest in her contractual relationship with third parties.
  • The role shall also be responsible for interfacing with regulatory and government Agencies while ensuring monthly report of activities to the Team.
  • This position shall be responsible for ensuring weekly reporting of the activities of the Team.
  • He/She will undertake all corporate administrative duties of the Dept. as may be directed by the HoD.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Timely and efficient drafting of contracts, vetting of Agreements, MoU’S and Leases.
  • Liaise with other Government Agencies on business related matters as may be instructed by HoD and Management and give time feedback as required.
  • Effective and efficient liaison with external solicitor on litigation matters and share update on court sessions attended with the team.
  • Review Licenses, Highlight obligations and make adequate observations and recommendations.
  • Timely processing of regulatory requirements and demands from government agencies to forestall disruptions.to Company’s operations and activities.
  • Render legal opinion on any relevant topic/subject to the HoD and Management as the need arises.
  • Contribution to risk management and business development.
  • To undertake other assignments as may be assigned by the HoD.

Requirements
Education:

  • An LL.B Degree from a reputable University.
  • B.L. from Nigerian Law School.
  • Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Between 5 - 9 years post-call experience.
