We are a Leading 5-Star International Hotel in Nigeria, strategically located in the city of Port Harcourt. We are currently seeking for employment of dynamic, result-oriented and self-motivated persons into the following vacancies:


Job Title: Assistant Director of Sales

Job Description
Initiate, plan, direct and manage the implementation of the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy. Direct the activities of the hotel’s Sales & Marketing teams, ensuring that the activities of all team members are aligned with Hotel strategy.
Direct and manage all group sales activities to maximize revenue potentials.
Handle the recruitment, directing, managing, training and counseling of sales staff. Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
Ensure the implementation of a successful solicitation strategy to targeted guests in order to meet and/or exceed revenue goals.
Initiate and participate in daily RevMax meeting, sales strategy meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings. 
Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings. Maintain knowledge of market, competition and customers.

Vacancies Qualifications
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in English language.
Ability to appreciate “the big picture”, whilst having a talent for detail & an inherent thoroughness in task approach, follow up and completion.
Strong writing skills with excellent spelling & grammar.
Excellent numerate and computer skills.
Excellent organizational / administrative skills with office management experience.
Ability to prioritise tasks & to manage workload using own initiative.
Ability to inspire confidence and manage public relations.
High degree of personal loyalty & integrity, team player and a sense of humor.
Ability to multi-task & and work under pressure with limited resources.
Previous experience in hotel, travel & tourism service sector preferred.

Education:
Bachelor degree required, additional education in Sales & Marketing field preferred.
Experience:
At least 5 years experience in a sales & marketing position, preferably at a supervisory / managerial level.
