Job Title: Educational/Developmental Psychologist
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Using psychological tests, theories and procedures to support the well being and learning of young people
- Helping young people with learning difficulties to achieve their full potential
- Recommending, developing and administering appropriate therapies and strategies
- Working with young people, their families and school staff, including teachers and learning support assistants
- Carrying out psychological assessments to uncover a child's problem
- Writing reports
- Conducting research
- Providing training
- Advising and making recommendations on educational policies
Responsibilities
- Counsel children and families to help solve conflicts and problems in learning and adjustment.
- Develop individualized educational plans in collaboration with teachers and other staff members.
- Maintain student records, including special education reports, confidential records, records of services provided, and behavioural data.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and/or professional meetings in order to remain informed of new developments in school psychology.
- Design classes and programs to meet the needs of special students.
- Refer students and their families to appropriate agencies for medical, vocational, or social services.
- Initiate and direct efforts to foster tolerance, understanding, and appreciation of diversity in school communities.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and other services, such as behavioural management systems.
- Provide educational programs on topics such as classroom management, teaching strategies, or parenting skills.
- Conduct research to generate new approach and techniques to increase learning and development as well as new knowledge that can be used to address learning and behaviour issues.
- Compile and interpret students' test results, along with information from teachers and parents, in order to diagnose conditions, and to help assess eligibility for special services.
- Assess an individual child's needs, limitations, and potential, using observation, review of school records, and consultation with parents and school personnel.
- Select, administer, and score psychological tests.
- Provide consultation to parents, teachers, administrators, and others on topics such as learning styles and behaviour modification techniques.
- Promote an understanding of child development and its relationship to learning and behaviour.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals to develop teaching strategies and school programs.
- Provide teachers with training on the management of child learning disorders such as autism and ADHD
- Assist physically and mental disadvantaged students in overcoming learning difficulties
- Work with parents and teachers in addressing students’ emotional, academic, and behavioural issues
- Design and implement strategies that foster social and educational development
Qualifications
- B.Sc in Educational/Developmental Psychology
- Must have M.Sc in Educational/Developmental Psychology
- Minimum of 3 years cognate experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft package

Job Title: Special Education Needs HOD
Location: Lagos
Job Functions
The job functions include but are limited to the following:
- Screen and monitor new entrants to the School for Learning Support issues.
- Arrange (and undertake as applicable) assessments in response to referrals from teachers, parents or student and give informed advice as required
- Summarise key findings and advice from Educational Psychologists’ reports and publish information to all relevant teaching staff along with recommendations for support.
- Manage the Learning Support Department – oversee professional development of the department as a whole
- Examine the efficacy of the support being provided and look for ways of making future improvements.
- To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the Department; to be prepared to attend training courses when required. Responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability to understand and utilize their knowledge of ICT.
- To co-ordinate the selection and development of appropriate syllabus and courses in line with related resources.
- To assist in the development of appropriate schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the curriculum area.
- To maintain full and accurate records of students’ achievements as required.
- Deliver engaging, coherent lectures and motivating lessons to students across key stages.
- Utilize learning technology in the area of Special Education Needs.
- To keep up to date with curriculum change and reforms.
- Develop lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives.

- B.Ed in Special Education Needs or any other related discipline. Masters or Post Graduate qualification in a related subject is an added advantage

Job Title: Laboratory Technologist
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The Laboratory Technologist must be able to perform various science related tasks, purchase specimen, apparatus and collect needed samples as requested by the subject teachers.
- The Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for the preparation of solutions, laboratory testing, safe keeping of the apparatus and chemicals, and the maintenance of accurate records.
- The individual will work collaboratively with all the teachers in accordance with the policy of the department.
Job Duties
But not limited to the following:
- Prepare samples/specimens/solutions for use
- Perform daily quality checks on laboratory apparatus and equipment
- Prepare samples for testing using various types of laboratory equipment
- Label specimens accurately and distribute them to the appropriate subject teacher in the department
- Clean and maintain work area and all laboratory equipment and supplies
- Keep records of broken glassware and report to accounts department promptly
- Understand and interpret accurately the IGCSE instructions
- Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines
- Document all activities in the laboratory for record purposes
- Maintain and track reports on reagents and chemicals to avoid use of expired resources
- Help with administrative tasks when needed
- Clear all apparatus and reagents immediately from the laboratory after practicals
- Assist in displaying students’ work on the boards
- Ensuring resources are up to date
- Ensure gas does not run dry before refilling
- Ensure that there is constant water supply in the laboratories
- Always available in the department for any urgent duty

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibility
But not limited to the following:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in relevant department or plumbing and HVACs.
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical part of pumps, compressors, trudes, traction and generator.
- Inspect all equipment and generator to ensure efficiency in operation.
- Carryout regular check on all equipment and generator to determine the extent of wear/damages to enable repair and advice on replacement.
- Ensure operations of machinery and mechanical equipment by carrying out preventive maintenance required on engine motors and production.
- Follow diagrams/sketches/manufacturer instructions specified in troubleshooting.
- Locate source of problems by observing operations of machine and equipment running precision measure and testing instrument.
- Controlling downtime of equipment by carrying out preventive maintenance techniques.
- Maintaining continuity by documentation, keeping proper and adequate records and communication.
- Carry out any other assignment that might be given to him in the course of your duty.
- In some circumstances, the job holder may be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities of a similar post in order to support workload peaks and skill shortages to ensure priorities are met.
