Job Title: Portfolio Analyst

Location: Lagos

Role Summary

  • The Portfolio Analyst will support in the management, monitoring and operation of the various portfolios and funds.
  • He/she will develop and research investment opportunities for the company and perform due diligence on new and existing investments. Responsibilities will include providing support in the achievement of the company’s overall investment objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Asset class allocation decision
  • Analyzing investment portfolio data to monitor investment returns and risk
  • Assist in appraisals, valuations, and disposition processes
  • Presenting overviews, reports and timely investment recommendations to the Asset Management team, including buy, sell and hold recommendations
  • Participating in investor meetings and calls to provide portfolio information
  • Evaluating the performance of investment portfolios to ensure compliance with standards provided by regulatory organizations, including conformance with investor disclosures, privacy laws, anti-money laundering requirements, and anti-fraud measures
  • Review of key financial market regulators pronouncements (SEC, NSE, CBN) and their impact on investment portfolio
  • Make recommendations for process improvement, addressing gaps and areas for additional or improved reporting and data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Banking and Finance, Business Administration or any related course. An MBA or related Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Global and Domestic Economy
  • Sound knowledge of investment and risk management fundamentals
  • Expertise in research and investment analysis
  • Knowledge of asset allocation and portfolio construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Aptitude for presenting financial information in understandable formats

 

 



Job Title: Business Development Associate

Location: Lagos

Role Summary

  • The Business Development Associate contributes to the execution of the strategies that drive the financial performance of the group by gathering and analyzing market data to design best-in-class products that would be acceptable by the target markets, and supporting in the sales of such products to meet the group’s financial targets.
  • He / she is also expected to identify opportunities for improvement in performance to enhance client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, compile, investigate, and analyse market data to identify market trends, and supports the team in the creation and fine-tuning of real estate investment products
  • Provide support on the design of investment strategies for all products and services
  • Participate in the launching of products from documentation, approval, marketing and final Launch
  • Participate in the fund administration process vis a vis subscription, redemption, Investment process, Valuation, Dividend Distribution and Regulatory reporting
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with local market brokers, Fund Managers, Institutional investors, HNIs and other key stakeholders, and appropriately manages on-going communications related to the sales of the company’s products
  • Monitor and report on the status and progress of sales transactions and new product deliveries
  • Develop, edit, and proofread tailored proposals, presentations, and pitch deck content
  • Participating in investor meetings and calls to provide portfolio information
  • Serve as an in–house consultant to the sales teams and relationship managers on all products and services
  • Work with internal teams and external parties to implement process improvements that target increased revenue, promote efficiencies and promote the overall performance of the Fund(s)
  • Identify emerging industry trends and leverage this information to inform our corporate strategy
  • Manage monthly and weekly reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and / or Master's degree in Finance, Real Estate and / or Economics
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in financial services
  • Ability to work in a highly technical environment while effectively communicating key understandings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and results-oriented attitude
  • Self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
