Job Title: Reverse Operations Associate - Jumia
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time
Department: Operations - Vendor Excellence - Vendor Experience
Job Objective
- As Reverse Ops Associate, your responsibility is to build engagement with vendors to ensure all packages in reverse flow is received by the vendors at the shortest possible time and vendor's convenience.
Responsibilities
- Implementing the 21/30-day vendor commitment to ensure all packages breached are captured and processed for payment to vendors
- Interacting with vendors via Salesforce to resolve all issues relating to the return of items to vendors.
- Managing the vendors seller ID card process; Procurement & distribution to the hubs.
- Conceptualizing, brainstorming and creating engaging, informative, relevant and viral-worthy processes to enhance Jumia Mall and Jumia Services operations.
- Works directly with Jumia services returns unit to ensure smooth operations of return items to vendors
- Analyzing and Implementing forfeiture process due to non-compliance pick up timeline by vendors.
- Monitoring and enforcing healthy inventory i.e only fast moving items remain in the warehouse and slow moving items are returned to vendors within SLA.
- Maintaining good customer experience by monitoring the delisting of SKUs with high return rate and issues.
- Ensuring and monitoring prompt communication is sent to sellers on the state of their reverse packages.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc Operations / Logistics & Supply Chain or other related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent use of excel would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the Ecommerce Industry.
- Basic knowledge of HTML is an advantage.

Job Objective
- The Vendor Promise Analyst role is a unique opportunity to help drive our efforts to improve vendor satisfaction across the entire vendor journey.
- This is a critical role as it directly correlates to continually improving vendor experience and as a result better vendor loyalty and retention.
- This data-driven role calls for a rare combination of analytical thinking, communication design & interpersonal ability to manage relationships and projects with all teams across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Analytics: Analysis of vendor-centric key performance indicators and vendor NPS to ensure high-quality vendor experiences.
- Communication Design: Develop clear brand messages in all communication pieces, designs and produce materials such as posters and handbills.
- Product improvement. Proactively search for new vendor-related features on the platform which could improve a seamless vendor experience.
- Scalability and growth. Take on new opportunities like launching a new project.
- Support. Manage day to day queue management issues arising from various departments across the firm.
- Develop and optimize processes: scale new and improve existing processes based on vendor data and feedback to allow the business to efficiently operate and grow.
- Auditing and monitoring of processes, queues, hubs and order placement.
- Interacting with vendors via Email and Calls using working tools such as Salesforce and Xcally to resolve issues.
- Monitor and maintain quality and ensure accuracy and consistency of all Vendor Promise Materials.
Qualification & Experience
- B.Sc degree.
- Good knowledge of Jumia processes.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment preferably in a similar role but not essential.
- Excellent Numerical, Analytical and Communication Skills.
- Knowledgeable in either Salesforce and excellent use of excel would be an advantage.
- The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows.

Job Title: Reconciliation Operations Associate - Jumia

Job Objective
- As Reconciliation Ops Associate, your responsibility is to reconcile vendors account for orders communicated to ensure vendors books are balanced and provide visibility on transactions between items dropped off and payment received within the shortest possible time.
Responsibilities
- Processing payment within the 30-day vendor commitment to ensure the company promise to vendors is fulfilled.
- Interacting with vendors via Salesforce to resolve all issues relating to the payment of items dropped off but not account for on SC.
- Managing the lost, defective and dedective damage queue to ensure queue is not infiltrated and payment is made within the shortest possible time.
- Conceptualizing, brainstorming and creating engaging, informative, relevant and viral-worthy processes to enhance Jumia Mall and Jumia Services operations.
- Works directly with Jumia services team to ensure items are correctly updated and packages are moved appropriately to avoid delay with payments.
- Analyzing and Implementing global order agreement by ensuring global vendors returns are paid with the right exchange rate and transfer ownership to Jumia is done correctly for resale on the site.
- Monitoring and enforcing timelines on lost/Inexception status are duely followed to ensure writeoff is done within SLA.
- Protecting the business interest by identifying invalid claims from vendors and developing process flow to eliminate loop holes within the system.
