Since commencing operations in March 1997 the company continues to grow and exerts its presence in numerous Projects in the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry. We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Offshore Commissioning Lead (Expatriate) Location: Nigeria Job Type: Contracts Job Nature: Rotation Description

  • Ensures implementation of day-to-day commissioning activities offshore in coordination with the FFSD team
  • Ensures the right level of quality on the worksite and work with Contractor to achieve project requirement with regards to commissioning.
  • Ensures commissioning work procedures/packs are properly implemented on the worksite and deviations are promptly reported to the FFSD management team
  • Participates in clarification and responses to Contractor queries on the worksite in accordance with project commissioning procedures.
  • Ensures that commissioning activities performed on site in the project perimeter fulfill project HSE requirements.
  • Reports any incident as per Company and Project rules.
  • Implements with Contractor site representative any risk assessment of Job Safety Analysis recommendation as required by Project HSE procedures with respect to commissioning.
  • Participates in Job Hazard Analyses and Attend safety toolbox meetings on a regular basis with contractors' work teams.
  • Assists in constructability reviews and the planning and scheduling of construction/ commissioning activities.
  • Monitor the overall progress of the contractors against schedule, providing reporting on same to the FFSD management team, highlighting the potential for slippage and propose remedial actions
  • Participate, with contractors' staff and company operations staff, in all pre-commissioning activities.
  • Maintain adequate records relating to events surrounding the commissioning activities, which may give rise to contractors claiming for a cost increase against contract.
  • Contributes to project close out reports as applicable
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Qualification: HND (Engineering) or equivalent with 10 - 15 years’ experience in offshore construction, Site supervision, Installation, Pre-commissioning and commissioning in an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry preferably on an FPSO.
  • Experience: Verifiable experience in the use of MS Office packages, Fluent in English, strong communication skills, manages interfaces effectively(When including work experience, please do indicate the start and end months too, eg May 2017- June 2018)

  • Ensures implementation of day-to-day activities offshore in coordination with the FFSD offshore team
  • Ensures the right level of quality on the work site and work with Contractor to achieve FFSD project requirement with regards to QA.
  • Attends preparation daily meetings and weekly progress meetings as requested.
  • Evaluates construction issues on the work site with Contractor workers and contribute to their resolution at work site level whenever possible.
  • Ensures work procedures are properly implemented on the worksite and deviations are promptly reported to his hierarchies for further decision to be taken.
  • Reports any issue to the FFSD team and maintain regular and efficient information with the team.
  • Participates in clarification and responses to Contractor queries and request on the worksite in accordance with project procedures.
  • Ensures overall proper management of FFSD consumables delivered onboard the AKPO FPSO for the FFSD.
  • Ensures that activities performed on site in the project perimeter fulfill project HSE requirements.
  • Reports any incident as per Company and Project rules.
  • Implements with Contractor site representative any risk assessment of Job Safety Analysis recommendation as required by Project HSE procedures.
  • Participates in Job Hazard Analyses and Attend safety toolbox meetings on a regular basis with contractors' FFSD work teams.

Job Requirement
