Job Title: Marketing Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type:full-time

Position Summary

  • Marketing executives oversee many aspects of a campaign throughout the entire lifespan of a product, service or idea. As such executives are likely to have a great deal of responsibility early on and will be required to manage their time and duties themselves.

Job Description

  • Overseeing and developing marketing campaigns.
  • Conducting research and analyzing data to identify and define audiences.
  • Devising and presenting ideas and strategies.
  • Promotional activities.
  • Contributing to long-term marketing plans and strategies.
  • Writing and distributing proposals to companies and developing advertising opportunities.
  • Analyzing pricing positions and monitoring competitors' activities.
  • Updating databases and using a customer relationship management (CRM) system.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Research and identify a relevant market with the sole objective of assisting the Manager achieve the revenue sales target spelt out by the management in the business plan.
  • Assist to develop and implement the hotel's marketing plan, general business plan, marketing and sales strategies to ensure sales maximisation and profitability
  • Monitors present and future sales trends, practices and marketing strategy in order to increase overall sales target.
  • Monitor the market trend and provide the Marketing Manager with input for detailed market analysis and sales promotions.
  • Monitor Competitors, cost-competitive advantage and niche strategy
  • Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve the sales department's efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function.

Lead Generation and Conversion:

  • Identify goals for lead identification and conversion
  • Selects and develops strategies to improve guest service, food production techniques and efficiency
  • Assist to arrange and attend joint presentations with the Manager to corporate clients
  • Ensure product knowledge and adequate updated information as presentation and meetings should be sourced for and attended
  • Profile corporate clients to help determine potential business and provide same to the Marketing manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • He/She must possess a minimum qualification of B.sc/HND in any related discipline and MUST have worked as a Marketing officer in previous organization preferably in an Hotel.
  • He/She should have a minimum working experience of 2-6 years.

 

 

Job Title: Marketing Executive

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • Marketing Executive is responsible for the results of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and address hotel business needs. The job incumbent should be active, proactive, and achieve results.
  • Able to work on his / her own and take responsibility for all tasks at hand. All work is carried out in line with the overall hotel guidelines and service concepts.

Job Description

  • Coordinate and assist with delivering all agreed marketing and PR strategies and monitor on-going marketing and PR campaigns performance and reporting as directed by the Line Manager
  • Support the Line Manager by developing and implementing promotional activity, collateral and in-house merchandising as well as maintaining the hotels’ media library to include video, film and press coverage archives
  • Promote the hotels’ marketing activities to the media covering all food and beverage, rooms and event promotions
  • Support all internal communication activities including, but not limited to, regional and area updates, press release writing, newsletters and drafting speeches for company executives and assisting with senior management interviews with relevant preparation material
  • Promote and support all marketing and PR activities including special events, sponsorship opportunities, merchandising campaigns, exhibitions and property inspections
  • Support the department with media relations involving tracking social media, updating press kits, archiving news releases and press coverage, maintaining media databases, coordinating interviews, and ensuring relevant administrative duties are completed in advance of media visits
  • Organise and manage familiarisation trips for media professionals and entertain local media where appropriate
  • Assist with and, where required, lead on-site photos shoots and hotel filming whilst ensuring all relevant administration approvals are completed and confirmed
  • Monitor and support Line Manager on all social media activity for the hotels whilst supporting departmental initiatives
  • Be a brand champion for the hotels ensuring all collateral conforms to agreed brand standards, using the right tone and voice compliant with corporate guidelines
  • Execute and implement appropriate use of marketing and PR content, creative resources, translation and photography while optimising an effective online presence in line with regional strategy
  • Respond to customer postings as appropriate tackling any complaints and issues

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum qualification of B.Sc / HND in any related field and MUST have worked as a Marketing Executives in an hotel which will be an addedadvantage.
  • Also he / she should possess up to 2-9 years working experience.

 

 

Job Titile: Purchasing Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • He/she will work with suppliers to negotiate contracts for the purchase of required goods and keep accurate records of transactions trend
  • To assist the Finance and Operational departments in the monitoring, reporting and controlling of cost of sales in the hotel, including audit and control, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting etc

Job Description

  • To implement sound purchasing policies, systems and procedures in accordance with company standards.
  • To monitor vendors for quality, service and price through standard purchasing specifications.
  • Must obtain competitive quotations for the hotel requirement and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased.
  • To call for quotations for any items costing more than a certain amount (As per company policy) and inquire into prices from various suppliers.
  • Must ensure that all orders receiving dates are updated by the buyers according to the suppliers promised delivery dates.
  • Must receive market list from the Executive Chef on a daily basis and arrange for the delivery of those items daily.
  • Must ensure that all authorized or approved purchase orders are sent to their respective suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
  • Must research and identify new products and services for the hotel in the market.
  • Must obtain written approval for established Minimum/Maximum stock levels by the Financial Controller and Operations Manager.
  • Must ensure the efficient operation of the Purchasing Department in all aspects.
  • Must check, explain if needed and approve delivered items discrepancy report issued by Cost Controller regarding price and quantity order variances.
  • Must approve all additional requests for new storeroom items, checking correct item description, unit, packing, and category and establishes Min/Max estimated stock.
  • Must verify the pending orders report on a daily basis, and all pending orders are checked and verified regularly.
  • Must identify items for standing orders utilizing vendor’s logistics for regular deliveries to the hotel based on approved highly consumed items.
  • Must issue regularly slow moving item lists.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum qualification of B.Sc / HND in any related field and MUST have worked as a purchasing Officer in ANY organization but preferable in an Hotel /Restaurant will be an added advantage.
  • Also he / she should possess up to 2-10 years working experience.
