  • Health Specialist NOC, Abuja

    Locations: Africa: Nigeria Work Type: Fixed Term Staff | Level: Closing Date: Sun Mar 04 2018 23:55:00 GMT+0100 (W. Central Africa Standard Time) The incumbent is accountable for contributing to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Supplemental Immunization Activities (SIA) component of the Immunization programme in conjunction with Child Survival and Development, Maternal and Child Health, Health and Nutrition components within the country programme, to achieve the UNICEF's immunization plus goals and objectives for the country. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Immunization Manager at the Country Office but will provide support to field offices for regular monitoring of improved SIAs in the field . Accountable for ensuring the UNICEF Supplemental Immunization Activities promote gender equality, with an emphasis on gender disaggregation, gender disparity identification and gender mainstreaming.
  • Nutrition Specialist NOC, Abuja

    Locations: Africa: Nigeria Work Type: Fixed Term Staff | Level: Closing Date: Sun Mar 04 2018 23:55:00 GMT+0100 (W. Central Africa Standard Time) The Nutrition Specialist reports to the Chief of Nutrition/Health/CSD (Level 5) for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist supports the Chief in managing the Section, contributing to knowledge management/innovation and developing/preparing nutrition (and/or an integrated/complex/key) programs/projects. The Specialist provides authoritative technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable results in maternal, infant and child nutrition programs/projects according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM) and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.
  • Warehouse Assistant GS4, Lagos

    Locations: Africa: Nigeria Work Type: Fixed Term Staff | Level: Closing Date: Sun Mar 04 2018 23:55:00 GMT+0100 (W. Central Africa Standard Time) Under the general guidance and supervisor of the Warehouse Assistant GS-6 responsible for the receiving, storage, packing and loading operations in the Office. The position may also be required to undertake field deployments to support the establishment of new warehouses and processes that contribute to UNICEF emergencies.
  • Human Resources Specialist FT, P-3, Maiduguri, Nigeria

Central Africa Standard Time) UNICEF Nigeria recently scaled up its integrated humanitarian response plan, and is leading humanitarian response in the education, WASH and nutrition sectors in the country, as well as the child protection sub-sector. We are tackling the resurgence of wild poliovirus, and are promoting health care access overall. We are also working on bringing 100 percent access to clean water and sanitation by 2030. We are working with partners on early childhood education initiatives and are supporting the national HIV program.
