Job Title: Watchman
Location: Dikwa, Borno
Job Description
- This position will be based in the following program: Develop
and carryout aid programs I the field of water,sanitation,hygiene as
well as essential domains of food security and reconstruction.
Responsabilites and Tasks
- Ensure security and safety of buildings, goods and staff within Solidarites International Premises.
- Register any visitor motorized or on foot
- Write a service report after being relieved and a situation report whenever assuming duty
- Ensure a constant monitoring the entrance door and patrol the specified zone.
- Record in the log book all vehicles that enter or leave the premises.
Profile Required
- Training: Ordinary National Diploma
- Languages: English spoken and written is mandatory ; Hausa is an asset
- Skills: Ability to work in team, good communication
- Professional experience: Previous security experience is an asset
- Personal qualities: Reactivity, Vigilant, Sociable
Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Dikwa, Borno
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Administrative Management of Personnel:
- Welcome and participate in administrative briefing of new personnel
- Assist the administrator for the administrative management of recruitment and hiring
- Participate in the organization of training
- Ensure archiving and monitoring of individual dossiers and
deliver all documents relative to the professional life of Solidarités
International employees
- Ensure the confidentiality of all HR datas
- Keep an organization chart up to date for the base
- Assist the administrative in the organization and conduct of meetings with personnel representatives
- Participate in the application of policies relating to salaries and benefits for Solidarités International
- Participate in the monitoring of work contracts on the base
- Collect payment details and integrate them into the Human resources management software (Homère)
- Issue pay slips and supervise payment of salaries after approval by the administrator
- Calculate taxes and duties and create pay records for the relevant organizations
- Monitor changes in the cost of living
Team Management:
- Train and support team members under his or her supervision
- Ensure the minimal replacement of members of the admin services in case of absence (days of, sickness etc.)
Treasury / Accounting / Management:
- Supervise the physical maintenance and safety of cash boxes
- Prepare monthly closing, revision and integrity of accounts for the base
- Issue vouchers, supervise archiving of records
- Verify, before recording, that records conform to regulations and procedures of Solidarités International
- Translate accounting documents if necessary
- Exchange currencies at request of superiors
- Verify cash balances daily and report any discrepancies to superior
- Participate in audits or any checks issued by partners or head office, at the base level
- Participate in the consolidation of budget follow ups and cash forecasts at the base level
- Monitor due dates for payments of contracts managed by the administrative coordinator
- List liquidity needs in concert with the admin coordinator
- Carry out pay-outs and advances, within established guidelines
- Keep the registry of cash pay-outs and the cashier’s register
- Record budgetary transfers and keep accounting codes
- Archive accounting records according to Solidarités procedures after a final verification of receipts etc.
- Guarantee security of the cash and confidentiality of information
Reporting / Communication:
- Participate in supervision of regulations in effect
- Aid admin coordinator in relations with administrative authorities
- Any other tasks as assigned
Profile Required
- Training: Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, Accountancy or any related discipline.
- Languages: English, Kanuri and/or Hausa
- Professional experience: Previous experience in relevant jobs will be appreciated.
- IT skills: Strong knowledge of MS Office tool pack (Word, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to be flexible.

Job Title: Logistic Base Assistant
Location: Dikwa, Borno
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Management of supplies
- Update price lists and vendor databases
- Implement purchases, monitoring adherence to validation regulations and procedures
- Negotiate prices, deadlines and methods of delivery
- Ensure that relationships with suppliers are monitored
- Control Solidarités International purchase procedures
- Verify and process quote requests and IOFs
- Compose and archive purchase folders
Management of Vehicle Fleet:
- Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance and repair work on mission vehicles
- Draw up the vehicle schedule
- Ensure that a complete breakdown kit is available on board all vehicles
- Check that vehicle log books are in place and are used correctly
- Assist in monitoring and consolidating fuel consumption and miles travelled for all vehicles
- Prevent misappropriation of petrol and spare parts
- Monitor the administrative documents for all vehicles
Management of Equipment/Telecommunications:
- Assist in installing and securing materials
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining materials
- Organize training sessions in the use of means of communication
Management and Monitoring of IT Equipment:
- Update antivirus software
- Provide teams with adequate means for data backup
- Ensure the maintenance and correct use of IT equipment
Management of Supplies:
- Supervise the maintenance and securing of warehouses
- Support the logistics officer in carrying out stock checks and physical inventories
Human Resource Management:
- Assist in the recruitment process and in evaluating the members of the logistical team
- Establish team schedules in conjunction with the logistics officer
- Ensure or assist with logistical training
- Any other tasks as assigned

- Organize training sessions in the use of means of communication

Management of Stock:
- Supervise the maintenance and securing of warehouses
- Carry out regular stock checks and physical inventories

Job Title: Cook
Location: Dikwa, Borno
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Prepare and clean the dining area before and after meals
- Buy the produce required for meal preparation, within the fixed budget
- Keep a log recording all expenditure and regularly settle advances relating to the purchase of food
- Respect the essential hygiene regulations and maintain exemplary conditions of hygiene in the kitchen and storage areas
- Monitor the provision of filtered water to living and working areas, ensuring that water filters are disinfected regularly
- Evaluate fuel needs and monitor fuel consumption
- Manage food and commodity stocks for expatriate accommodation
- Prepare meals according to the fixed number of people and
definite planning, checking that the food is healthy and the menus
varied
- Any other tasks as assigned
Profile Required
- Training : Able to read and write
- Languages: English, Kanuri and/or Hausa
- Professional experience: A minimum of 1 year professional experience in a similar position.
