Job Position in an IT Company for Head of Account, 14th March, 2019


Peridot Forte Solutions Consulting Limited - Our client in the IT industry requires the service of qualified candidates for the position of:     Job Title: Head of Account Location: Lagos Responsibilities

  • Develops reports on all accounting related matters inclusive of taxation matters. These reports accompany pro-active advice and recommendations on the business’s financial approaches from an accounting and taxation perspective.
  • Manage the process for the collation of individual departmental budgets as well as the preparation and approval of the annual organisation wide capital and operating expenditure budgets/forecasts
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Accounting system, including the General Ledger, Trial Balance, Order Entry, Accounts Receivables, Payables etc
  • Perform day-to-day budgetary control procedures, analyse variances and generate reports
  • Direct and manage all financial and accounting reconciliations e.g. of Creditors/Debtors, Assets/Inventory, Bank Accounts etc and circulate relevant reports/statements accordingly
  • Review and oversee month end closure and roll-over entries
  • Preparation of Financial Statements - Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, etc.
  • Prepare and submit periodic management reports for monitoring the financial performance of the business
  • Prepare and submit annual Taxation Returns and supporting schedules
  • Manage relevant third party liaison e.g. with External Auditors, Insurers, Tax Authorities etc, and ensure the provision of all requested records, data or information
Requirements
  • First Degree in Accounting and Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Certified member of ICAN/ACCA
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Excellent strategic planning skills
  • Financial Modeling
  • IFRS Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Accounting software
