Job Title: Project Oversight Officer

Location: Borno
Job Type: Contract
Job Duration: 12 months

Background

Duties and Responsibilities
The Oversight officer will be the overall guidance of project components and work closely with the project coordinator.

Other Responsibilities include;

  • Constant reviewing of project objectives
  • Provide regular project update to the term and donors on the progress and achievement
  • Audit and review project lessons learned
  • Authorize major deviation from the original project scope
  • Help in developing CHAD Int`l annual workplans and report
  • Track and assist project bottleneck
  • Review status reports sent by the project coordinator
  • Work closely with the project coordinator to ensure that stakeholders and donors take part in relevant coordination forums and meetings relating to the project.

Job Title: Project Officer

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Slots: 3

Duties and Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Project coordinator, coordinate the implementation of the project activities; hold planning meetings with the project team before and after every activity/ event implemented. Minutes of these meetings must be well documented and filed for easy reviews.
  • Assist and Support the Project coordinator in providing field leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring you constantly seek proper guidance in line with the CHAD Int`l project and Organization Policies.
  • Be responsible for day to day running of field activities and following up on the necessary logistics and coordination of their use in the field.
  • Identifying potential bottlenecks to the project.
  • In close collaboration with the coordination team, define and plan project objectives and priorities, identifying education needs, analysis context and humanitarian issues at stake, risks and constrains and calculating human and financial needs.
  • Work with the M&E coordinator to ensure the proper identification of activity/ event project participants are in accordance with the donor`s approved guidelines and in a transparent manner.
  • Write and submit weekly, monthly activity plans from the overall CSOs work plan provided by Donor for the project.
  • Provide timely and high-quality reports to the coordinator on project evaluation and propose amendment if needed.
  • Assist the M&E in compiling the field reports for each respective community
  • Ensure data during the Community Development Planning sessions are well captured in order to compile comprehensive field reports and the draft plans for each respective community.
  • Establish and maintain good public relations with the stakeholders of the project and not compromising the ethical standards of the Education Project and that of the Organization
  • Lead internal communication initiative in order to facilitate people’s integration and professional development and to maximize their capabilities and commitment to project`s goals.
  • Perform any other duties assign or asked of you that are in line with the CHAD Int`l Education project.

Experience and Qualification

  • A degree in Education or a related field of study
  • 3-5 years professional experience as Project officer and working in experience in humanitarian sector.
  • Spoken and written language skills in English is a must.
  • Proven experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams is required.

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Duration: 12 months

Background

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Prepare and maintain all books of accounts in digital and hard copy, and in accordance with the Financial management principles and project standards
  • In joint consultation with the project team on planned activities, prepare weekly and monthly budget projection for review and approval by the management oversight.
  • Train the Project field team on financial processes and required documentations for management of project funded activities.
  • Hold weekly review meetings with the project team on planned activities to ensure they are within the budget guidelines
  • Responsible for supporting the project team in processing Financial requests for the budgeted project activities under the direct supervision of the management oversight team
  • Prepare ahead of the submission deadlines; weekly, monthly and end of project financial retirements in accordance to the CHAD INT’L guidelines for review by the management oversight for onward action.
  • Work in close consultation with Head of Finance for proper guidance on adhering to the CHAD INT’L Financing principles/ guidelines and reporting.
  • Be accountable, transparent and observe integrity in all financial transactions and implement guidelines in accordance with the donors demand.
  • Accountable to the management oversight
  • Perform any other duties assign or asked of you that are in line with the CHAD INT’L or the donor project.

Required Qualifications, Competences and Experience
Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Accountancy or Banking and Finance from reputable university
  • Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBook or SAP)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft excel.

Professional Experience:

  • 5-7 years professional experience as Finance Officer
  • Experience in working with NGO will be an added advantage
  • Spoken and written language skills in English is required.
  • Proven experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams is required.

Job Title: Admin / Logistics Officer

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Duration: 12 months

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities related to procurement and local purchasing.
  • Take care of locally purchased items and project materials from process labour office clearances, procure local purchases, track assets, contact vendors for office assets, renew vehicles' licenses, arrange for vehicle maintenance, and monitor vehicle use.
  • Organize and arrange meetings with different community leaders and religious leaders, government representatives, other NGO representatives, and needed contacts for the stakeholders, and other program members.
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for staff and participants concerning meeting specifications, requirements, preferences, registration, confirmations, cancellations, schedules, and cost summaries.
  • Manage all the facilities for conducting trainings, conference, meetings by providing the necessary equipment.
  • Support logistics for all project activities.
  • Supports and assist with all stages of the project activities, follow-up, and coordination
  • Arrange and facilitate for staff movements to the field, transportation, and their arrival from the project site.
  • Provide advice on destinations, accommodation, car rental programs and flights
  • Confirm bookings and notify staff of travel documents, luggage, insurance, travelling advice and requirements.
  • Attend relevant logistics meetings and report back.
  • Ensure timely reporting of activities to the management.
  • And any other official duties that maybe assign by the management

Main responsibilities

  • Work alongside Project team in establishing log frames, M&E work plans, and targets during the updating work plans and implementation strategies.
  • Ensure activities implemented in line with project objectives, on time and with quality.
  • Ensure clarity about roles and responsibilities among project stakeholders.
  • Monitor and continuously assess the operating context and the project activities, and recommend changes in approach accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with CHAD operational policies and guidelines.
  • Liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, particularly security stakeholders and community leaders.
  • Oversee the production of project reports in a variety of formats (written, audio, video) as required by CHAD and the donor.
  • Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan in collaboration with North East M&E coordinator.
  • Identify appropriate fora for the dissemination of project information and materials, and organize appropriate dissemination activities.
  • Participate actively in the management processes of the team, including team meetings, sharing of information, context analysis, and strategy development.
  • Participate actively in State level forums on issues related to the project, particularly the North East on integrated education for girls and vulnerable children.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

Location: Borno
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Project team in establishing log frames, M&E work plans, and targets during the drafting of project proposals.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to project and collaborate staff in planning and implementing M&E systems and activities, data-based program, decision-making, and results reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor project data entry staff
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of project activities to program manager
  • Conduct field visits for data validation, to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets.
  • Coordinate data collection at project sites to monitor program development and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data. Capture and document lessons learned; champion scaling up best practices.
  • Prepare and implement trainings on monitoring/data gathering tools to field office
  • Collaborate with the Finance officer, to help develop a system to track and report cost-related data for each program element to reinforce financial and budgetary strategies and allocations during planning periods
  • Responsible for handling, documenting, confidentiality and security of all informational resources related to feedback and complaints from beneficiaries.
  • Support complains and feedback mechanism, including communicating response to complainants; liaise with programmes and operations to ensure prompt follow-up on feedback and complaints received.
  • Attend any information management related trainings, meetings and workshops.

Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experience

  • First degree in (B.Sc. / HND) in relevant studies.
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • 3 - 5 years professional experience as M&E Officer
  • Spoken and written language skills in English is required with the ability to produce quality report
  • Kanuri Proficiency is a must.
  • Proven experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams is required.
  • Other knowledge, additional competences

  • Have experience in working with children on research issues as well knowledge of child safeguarding policy and child protection.
