Job Title: Gender Base Violence Supervisor
Location: Damboa, Borno

Job Tasks
- He/she will support the definition MDM strategy regarding GBV, under the leadership of the GBV Coordinator.
Tasks Description
Organization, coordination and supervision of GBV activities:
- Carry out a mapping of all actors responding to GBV and develop a strong network to foster information exchange and synergies.
- Conduct trainings on various aspects of GBV such as survivor centred approach and informed consent to healthcare workers and MDM staff
- Coordinate with other actors to ensure safe referral for GBV Survivors.
- Identify a national partner, formalize the partnership (MoU) for the implementation of the “sensitization / awareness raising” component and provide technical support.
- Supervise the implementation of GBV activities, in close collaboration with the medical department and other GBV actors.
- Actively participate to coordination efforts with GBV actors (ex: GBV sub cluster).
- Ensure the quality of activities through regular monitoring and technical support, data collection and management, and provide guidance in case of difficulties.
- Coordinate the definition of the communication strategy and communication mediums (radio, press, posters, leaflets…)
- Coordinate the community mobilization activities in close collaboration with our partner, GBV actors as well as other stakeholders (ex: community leaders …)
- Ensure the capitalization of MDM GBV component implementation.
Human Resource, Capacity Building / Training:
- Identify the capacity building needs of the medical team in general, MDM partner related to GBV and provide trainings.
- Provide technical support to MDM partner for the good implementation of the “sensitization / awareness raising” component or any relevant topic related to MDM GBV strategy.
- Collaborates with the medical team and particularly the sexual and reproductive health department of MdM to set up trainings and supervision of the activities and the quality of the medical care for victims of GBV.
- Collaborate with the Mental Health and Psychosocial Coordinator in order to define and implement psychosocial care of GBV survivors
Advocacy:
- Take part, if necessary, with the MDM team, partners or other actors to advocacy activities.
- Reporting, information management, coordination / representation:
- Increase and enhance program monitoring and evaluation, and determining impact, wherever possible, including the use of standard indicators
- Share to the general coordinator and the medical team any difficulties met in the field and propose solutions or adjustments.
- Participate to internal MDM meetings
- Participate to the GBV sub sectors meetings and actively contribute to coordination efforts.
- If needed, participate to meetings with the State Ministry of Health or other stakeholders involved in GBV.
- Contribute to MDM monthly report and bimonthly sitrep.
- Contribute to the preparation of new proposals or reports to donors.

Job Tasks
- Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Coordinator, the Deputy Pharmacy Coordinator will be responsible for the following activities:
- Defining, coordinating and monitoring all pharmacy related activities in the Mission, according to MDM standards and values,
- the Pharmacy Coordinator instructions and with consideration of national and international laws and regulations, in order to ensure the quality and proper organization of medical supply process, procedures and protocols,
- the proper management of the medical stock in the projects and, in collaboration with the pharmacist coordinator, the correct use of medicines and medical material
Tasks Description
- Supporting the Pharmacy Coordinator in representing and defending MDM’s interests before the Ministry of Health and other local authorities or local suppliers for any issue concerning pharmaceutical supply, in order to ensure stock procurement in the projects while complying with the national laws and regulations and following MDM protocols. Ensuring a close follow up of the National Drug Supply particularly in projects where MDM is working in conjunction with MoH. Collaborating in budgeting and preparing drug and other medical material orders together with Pharmacy Coordinator.
- Support in monitoring the procurement process and taking corrective measures when needed, ensuring regular communication with Medical, Logistics, HR and Finance departments regarding Medical Supply and Pharmacy Management. Supporting the Pharmacy Coordinator in order to ensure local medical purchases are made from approved sources, subject to approval of HQ Pharmacist
- Support in ensuring the good maintenance of all drugs and equipment in the pharmacies and the appropriate storage and management of supply of narcotic and psychotropic medication with respect to national legislation, permitting traceability for these specific products.
- Facilitating correct stock management and transport/storage procedures, in order to ensure the availability of stock in all projects and to avoid expiries/overstocks and stockouts. Ensuring that all inventories of drugs and medical devices exist and are updated. In close collaboration with Logistics Department, supervising storage conditions (e.g. humidity, temperature, light exposure, cleanliness, pest and rodents control, stock security, maintenance of cold chain, etc.), classification, organization and inventory, in order to guarantee the quality of the medicines and other medical material and prevent damage, financial losses generated by expired items, deterioration and robbery. Support the Pharmacy Coordinator for followup of loans/donations and management of expired medications according to MDM procedures (and national legislation in case of expired drugs)
- Help the Pharmacy coordinator in planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required. In case of integration of medical stock under the supply, this includes providing support to Supply Log in this capacity to ensure the medical stock and pharmacy management according to recommended guide lines/procedures
- Participating in reporting according to MDM guidelines (SitReps, medical statistical reports, etc.) and reporting on drug consumptions and medical devices dispensed according to protocols, informing on unusual patterns to the Pharmacy Coordinator
- Supervising the running of the pharmacies across the mission, ensuring the proper implementation of MDM Safety standards, include pharmacovigilance follow up and waste management protocols, and to national and international legislation, in order to ensure the quality of the service given to the population and the accurate handling of drugs and products, including its proper disposal, in terms of hygiene and security. Supporting the Pharmacy Coordinator regarding the followup of EPREP planning and maintenance of medical emergency kits.
- Supporting and participating in all drug and medical material supply processes and ensuring its overall efficiency and effectiveness. This involves regular technical visits to project sites to ensure appropriate follow up of activities and management of field pharmacies; collecting and analyzing stock indicators according to physical records and logistic across different projects and together with the Pharmacist Coordinator and Medical Coordinator taking corrective decisions when necessary and providing technical pharmacy support regarding pharmaceutical information, medication use (protocols and rational drug use), management of side effects, adherence issues etc.

Job Tasks
Under the supervision of the Medical Doctor Supervisor, the Drugs Dispenser will be responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the quality of care in the mobile clinics:
- Stock management in link with mobile clinics
- Distribution of drugs during the mobile clinics
- Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly drugs consumption
- Reporting and attendance to different meetings
Tasks Description
- Stock management in link with mobile clinics
- Prepare all the necessary drugs, material and equipment for mobile clinics and ensure that everything is ready before to leave MdM office
- Realize the pharmacy stock management (in/out) at the mobile clinic
- Calculate daily consumption for each item in order to anticipate any shortage
- Do a weekly physical inventory of mobile clinic pharmacy
- Prepare weekly drugs orders to MdM Damboa pharmacy with the assistance of the medical doctors and paramedics staff.
- Distribution of drugs during the mobile clinics
- Give the drugs according to the medical prescription.
- Ask the medical doctor or the midwife to complete their prescription in case of incomplete information (dosage, duration…)
- Indicate the name, presentation and dosage of the drugs on the dispensing bag.
- Explain in local language to the patient how to take the treatment and make sure that the explanations have been understood.
- Explain the potential side effects of a drug to the patient
- Keeps a clean working place and insure waste produced in dispenser room (packaging, papers…) is removed every day.
- Fill in the daily consumption form for each item
- Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity
- Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly drugs consumption
- Collect the daily mobile clinic consumption
- Participate to the weekly computerization and analysis of the drugs consumption
- Reporting and attendance to different meetings
- Prepare a weekly activities report to submit to the pharmacist and team leader
