The consumer lending sector of our economy is still at its developmental state which makes it difficult for credit lines to be extended to certain category of the population thereby leaving a wide gap, however with the very good understanding of the dynamics associated with these loan approvals by commercial banks to consumers of certain category and economic standing, Swiss Credit is strategically positioned to fill the gaps created. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Recovery Officer Location: Lagos Job Brief
  • We are looking for a reliable Recovery Officer to contact debtors and claim outstanding debts towards their creditors. You will be responsible for recovering the money owed in as little time as possible.
Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues.
  • Update account status and database regularly.
  • Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary.
  • Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
  • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
  • Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments.
  • Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.
  • Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
  • Handle questions or complaints.
Requirements
  • Must be a B.Sc/HND holder in any field.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and database.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Apt in negotiating and persuading.
  • Proven experience as Recovery Personnel with working experience of 2 - 5years.
  • Must have worked for lending firm.
  • Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
