We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Inventory Officer

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Process and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Conduct regular quality check on products and materials.
  • Organize and optimize store spaces to accommodate inventory efficiently.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and making recommendations for disposal or clearance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely receipt and delivery of goods.
  • Prepare inventory reports for management, including stock levels, ordering trends, and financial summaries.
  • Identify and resolve any inventory-related issues or discrepancies before they become problems.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for inventory levels and costs.
  • Ensure that inventory storage areas are clean, organized, and secure.
  • Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes.
  • Maintain and update records.
  • Count materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock.
  • Receive and inventory stock.
  • Distribute or stock merchandise.
  • Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting and inventory management, with at least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing company.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing financial environments and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial and inventory software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
