The West African Centre For Public Health and Development (WACPHD-UOM-IGPH) is a non-governmental organization working on the improvement of health equity through sustained engagement with a core element approach that includes research, program delivery, technical assistance, and education will be providing technical support for the Key Population Size Estimation Study 2022 and requires the services of qualified personnel for a short-term implementation engagement.

In order to complete the field implementation process, we are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Interviewer

Locations: Osun, Ekiti, Kwara, Niger, Kogi, Plateau, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Borno, Yobe, Delta and Ogun
Duration of engagement: 1 month minimum.
Slot: 72 Openings (Osun - 6 , Ekiti - 2, Kwara - 3, Niger - 3, Kogi - 4, Plateau - 5, Kebbi - 6, Katsina - 10, Zamfara - 6, Sokoto - 6, Borno - 4, Yobe - 2, Delta -13, Ogun - 2)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews according to the provided guidelines.
  • Seek supervisor assistance when faced with a challenging situation.
  • Work with social mobilizers to ensure that participants are prepared for the interview process.
  • Ensure accurate data entry according to instructions in the field manual.
  • Upload interview results in real time.
  • Carry out all delegated work assigned by the team supervisor or UoM State representative.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Tertiary education will be an advantage.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience conducting qualitative/quantitative data collection.
  • Residents in the selected state are strongly preferred.
  • The ability to speak the local dialect fluently would be an advantage.
  • Should understand the basic usage of a smartphone.
  • Experience in using mobile-assisted technology in data collection.
  • Experience in key population surveys at state/national levels will be an advantage.
