Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi
Industry: Manufacturing

Job Summary

  • Our client is looking for an experienced and qualified Instrumentation Engineer to join their Operations Department in Ajaokuta, Kogi State

Responsibilities

  • Good exposure in continuous process equipment, drives (VFD) and PLC of heavy Equipments machinery, troubleshooting at machines, Switchgear maintenance, able to understand the drawings (SLD, Control Panels), Panel cabling and terminations.
  • Good exposure to record keeping of downtime - TAT to resolve the issue, analysis of breakdowns, plan Vs Actual compliance monitoring and execution.
  • Good exposure to Microsoft excel - to prepare spare reorder levels, record keeping of department, Daily shift reports etc.
  • Good Instruments Knowledge such as Temperature controllers, RTD, thermo couple, Flow meters, pressure transmitters, Solenoid Valves, interlocks verification etc.
  • Good exposure to ERP/ORION - to be able to enter data, Request for materials, Indent for PR etc,Materials Stock verification.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND, BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10years of total experience with at least 5 years in a similar maintenance Assistant manager role within the Building Materials or FMCG Industry, preferably the Tiles, paint or Cement Industry.

Specific Remarks:

  • Ability to create logics and usage of PLC programming softwares.
  • Effective planning of shutdowns and Quick trouble shooting activities.
  • Knowledge on Calibration of weighing equipment and Analyzers.
  • Communication Skills- Ability to communicate to the supervsiors and the team members.
