Job Title: Human Resource Executive

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced HR Professional to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of progressive HR experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
  • Previous experience in the banking sector will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
The role involves working closely with clients & staff, increasingly in a consultancy role, People Management & assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures. Main responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing excellent HR services to our clients
  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
  • Undertaking regular salary reviews
  • Administering payroll and maintaining employee records
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law
  • Being a point of contact for HR clients of the company
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Administer and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in the design and execution of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and practices.
  • Developing and implementing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
  • Preparing staff handbooks

Competencies / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 3 to 6 years in HR roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Previous experience in the banking sector will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in the banking sector will be considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Discretion, good judgement ability, adaptable and versatile
  • Ability to equilibrate priorities and organise work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of the capital market
  • Knowledge of ICMR regulations
  • Good Knowledge of share registration processes

You will be comfortable working at both strategic and tactical level and ideally have experience in the following areas:

  • Technology

  • Project Management
  • You will be a natural leader with a consultative and pragmatic style with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across all levels up to a senior/board level.
