We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

As an HSE Officer, your daily duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for implementation of safety manual/guidelines at designated site.
To develop policies, plans & procedures for minimizing the risk
Training of employees on safe work practices, Fire Fighting, emergency response plan First Aid.
Supervise Fire Drill at site.
To conduct monthly safety committee meetings at site for reviewing of hazards identified
To prepare Safety manual, emergency response plan, spill prevention plan & firefighting plan of Plant.
Observe work in progress, ensures that proper safety equipment is worn, and procedures are followed.
Implementation of Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) at site.
Make recommendation for correction and follow up to ensure that violations have been corrected.
Review of Incident / Accident & makes recommendation for prevention of similar future accidents.
Perform monthly inspection at site and prepare monthly reports.
Audit of permits for Hot work, Confined Space, working at Height etc.
Utilize all tools, equipment, and accessories in such a manner so as to maximize useful operating life.
Maintaining High standard of Housekeeping at site.
Educate employees for Near Miss Reporting.
