We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • As an HSE Officer, your daily duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for implementation of safety manual/guidelines at designated site.
  • To develop policies, plans & procedures for minimizing the risk
  • Training of employees on safe work practices, Fire Fighting, emergency response plan First Aid.
  • Supervise Fire Drill at site.
  • To conduct monthly safety committee meetings at site for reviewing of hazards identified
  • To prepare Safety manual, emergency response plan, spill prevention plan & firefighting plan of Plant.
  • Observe work in progress, ensures that proper safety equipment is worn, and procedures are followed.
  • Implementation of Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) at site.
  • Make recommendation for correction and follow up to ensure that violations have been corrected.
  • Review of Incident / Accident & makes recommendation for prevention of similar future accidents.
  • Perform monthly inspection at site and prepare monthly reports.
  • Audit of permits for Hot work, Confined Space, working at Height etc.
  • Utilize all tools, equipment, and accessories in such a manner so as to maximize useful operating life.
  • Maintaining High standard of Housekeeping at site.
  • Educate employees for Near Miss Reporting.

Requirements
You will shine in this role, when you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of similar experience preferably in a power plant.
  • English Fluency is a must.
