Meadow Hall is a private school in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. Founded in July 2002 by Kehinde Nwani, the school uses a combination of the British National Curriculum and the Nigerian Curriculum.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: History / Global Perspective Teacher

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
The job functions include but not limited to the following:

  • In charge of teaching and learning in subject area(s).
  • Prepare students to excel in internal and external examinations.
  • Assess students’ performance and progress in subject(s) taught.
  • Ensure that learning activities meet learning objectives.
  • Ensure adequate planning and effective delivery of lessons.
  • Share effective practice with colleagues and suggest actions for improvement.
  • Ensure curriculum coverage and continuity.
  • Keep subject attendance and updated assessment records at all times.
  • Prepare students half term and end of term reports.
  • Attend and participate in ARD, Open Day and all activities / programmes of the college as well as whole school events.
  • Provide intervention for students in their subjects in school and boarding house.
  • Invigilate and mark entrance examinations.
  • Serve on committees or take on any additional duties as may be assigned.
  • Implement the teaching and learning policy and follow the procedures for assessing, recording and reporting students’ progress, as well as setting targets for further improvement in line with whole school policy.
  • Analyse and interpret data on students’ performance against the school’s expectations and other comparative data.
  • Attend PPM and all sectional and general meetings.
  • Monitor general behaviour and grooming of students.
  • Perform any other duty assigned.

Requirements

  • The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a B. Ed or B.Sc in History or its equivalent with PDE and TRCN.
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and be able to demonstrate a genuine care for young children.
  • Must have good knowledge of both the British and Nigerian curricula.
  • Ability to utilize technology in the teaching and learning process.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
  • Must possess strong practical knowledge and skills in delivering lessons to students
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

Salary
N200,000 / month.
