Job Description
- Specifically, an Electrician will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- The Maintenance Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians at Lakowe Lakes Hospitality are responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of indoor air quality systems, such as air conditioners within the Corporate Lodge, apartments in the Rental Pool, Sports Center and The Wine Bar.
- This maintenance may include performing warranty services and emergency repairs.
- This may also include assisting with customers' queries and emergency calls within any of the assigned facilities.
- To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority.
- Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- As a HVAC Technician, you will be expected to repair, maintain, install and monitor electrical equipment through the hotel and respond to Guest, Manager, Team Member, and emergency requests promptly.
Maintenance and Repair:
- As an Electrician, you will be expected to repair, maintain, install and monitor electrical equipment through the hotel and respond to Guest, Manager, Team Member, and emergency requests promptly. Specifically, an Electrician will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Assisting with customers' queries.

Safety:
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Other duties could include working in other areas of the maintenance department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications and at least 2 years relevant work experience.
- Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Maintenance department at Lakowe Lakes Hospitality.
- Previous experience in a similar role- at least 2 years plus
- Previous work in a hotel or hospitality environment is a plus
- Trade certification is required
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on their own
