Rolan Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established with a mandate to create a realistic, effective, and impactful difference in the lives of vulnerable and less-privileged persons living in urban, rural, and hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria. We achieve this through three-pronged approaches: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Capacity Development, and Welfare.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Grant Writer for Rolan Foundation Community Development Projects

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • Harvesting of available grant opportunities for the organization and preparation of corresponding outlines.
  • In-depth study of grant application guidelines, calendar, and detailed terms of reference preparations for call for proposals.
  • Identify the problem context, methodology, target audience, and expected outcomes in alignment with the project theme and strategic priority areas.
  • Writing concept notes for intended projects in alignment with the organization's goals and donor’s terms of reference.
  • Writing of full proposals for grant application and collation of supporting documents
  • Underscore competitive projects in consonant with funding organization goals and objectives
  • Conceptualization of project ideas in alignment with thematic areas of Rolan Foundation’s programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant donor agencies, attend call for proposals brief meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of documents for grant applicationincluding concept note, proposals, project work plan, Grant Chatt, budget, team profiles, risk assessment, impact assessment, full proposals, and other relevant documents as requested by donor agencies.
  • Liaising with relevant agencies and stakeholders on intended project proposals.
  • Effective management of project ideas and grant application documents from competitors
  • Prompt submission of grant application documents within deadlines.
  • Assessment of proposed project feasibility and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Science, Arts and Social Science disciplines, post-graduate training in relevant courses such as Project Management (a master’s degree would be an added advantage).
  • Years of experience: 2 years minimum.
