Legend Golden Care Foundation (LGCF) is a registered Not-For-Profit and Non-Governmental Organisation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria under registration number 62357. Our organization is dedicated to enhancing the welfare of children, women, and inmates in correctional facilities. Our mission encompasses providing pro bono legal services to pre-trial detainees, ensuring equal access to quality education for disadvantaged children, rehabilitation and psychosocial support to Torture and SGBV survivors and contributing to the reduction of poverty, sexual and gender-based violence in Nigeria. We achieve these goals through strategic partnerships and collaborations with like-minded stakeholders.

Job Title: Finance Officer

Job Summary

  • Legend Golden Care Foundation seeks a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a full-time Finance Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects of Legend Golden Care Foundation including implementation of financial management processes,protocols and systems.
  • In this role, you will manage the budget, prepare financial reports,and ensure that all funds received from the donor is effectively and efficiently utilized in accordance with LGCF and donor financial rules for the purpose of actualizing the project goals.
  • This position is being recruited strictly on merit for the best candidate that can add value to our organization.

Key Responsibilities (Additional Duties may be Assigned)

  • Manage the day-to-day financial expenses of the organization.
  • Review of all vendor and other stakeholder’s payment vouchers.
  • Ensure that transactions are complete and accurate with self-explanatory and understandable descriptions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and funders.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports.
  • Support the successful annual external audit of LGCF’s corporate finances.
  • Ensure compliance with all required statutory deductions and remittances.
  • Develop and maintain a good filing system in accordance with approved financial procedures.
  • Track and monitor budgets for multiple projects to support effective project management decisions.
  • Oversee the timely and efficient posting and review of financial transactions for relevant analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of B.Sc. or HND in Finance / Accounting with second-class upper/ Upper credit.
  • At least 3 years NGO experience as a finance officer and in managing financial and administrative systems for donor-funded projects.
  • Effective people management skills in coordinating team members.
  • Flexibility, multitasking, communication skills and ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Work experience in an audit firm is an added advantage
  • Experience in developing financial reports and budgets for management and institutional donors.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in the use of advanced Microsoft Excel and Quick book accounting software for accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
