Job Title: Finance and Operations Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Finance and Operations Officer who will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization.
  • This role encompasses accounting, administrative duties, and the design and implementation of robust internal control systems.

Responsibilities
Financial Management:

  • Accounting:
    • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
    • Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the development of annual budgets.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
    • Forecast cash needs and plan accordingly.

Internal Control:

  • Internal Control System Design:
    • Design and implement comprehensive internal control systems tailored to the organization's needs.
  • Process Automation:
    • Identify opportunities for process automation within financial workflows.
    • Implement automation tools and technologies to streamline financial operations.
  • Audit and Monitoring:
    • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established controls.
    • Monitor financial transactions and identify areas of improvement.

Administration:

  • Office Management: Oversee office operations, including procurement of supplies.
  • Manage administrative staff and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) qualification is desirable.
  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and internal control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
