Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo that was established in December, 1979, has the general functions of providing for studies, training and development of techniques in Agricultural Technology, Applied
Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Accounting, Commerce and Home Economics as well as other spheres of learning without discrimination as to sex, religious or political beliefs and convictions.

Job Title: Director of Physical Planning

Location: Owo, Ondo

Duties
The Director of Physical Planning shall be:

• Responsible to the Rector for planning, controlling, management of physical and structural activities of the Polytechnic.
• Advising on building needs, designs and construction of the physical (building) assets in terms of quality and quantity.
• Performing other duties as may be assigned by the Rector.

Qualification

• A good Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification in Architecture or Architectural Technology, Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning, Plus a Master's Degree, with Fifteen (15) years post qualification experience in a Polytechnic or any Institution of comparable status, eight (8) of which must have been spent in senior management grade, In addition, registration with relevant and recognized professional body is required.
• The Officer-In-View should be someone with a sound mental disposition with flair for aesthetics that will promote the general look of the Polytechnic.

Terms of Appointment/Condition of Service

• The appointment shall be for a single term of Five (5) years only.
• The salary and fringe benefits and other condition of service attached to the position are as applicable to the post of Director, Physical Planning in similar Tertiary Institutions in the Nigeria and as may be determined by the Governing Council from time to time.

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Owo, Ondo

Job Descriptions

• The Bursar shall be the Chief Financial Officer of the Polytechnic and is responsible to the Rector for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the Polytechnic.

Qualification and Qualities
The prospective applicant must:

• Hold a good honours Degree or HND in Accounting or Finance from recognized Institution of Higher teaming with a professional accountancy qualification.
• Have at least fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience, plus registration with ICAN, ANAN or any other professional accounting body.
• Present evidence of physical and Medical fitness (from a Government Hospital).
• Be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) packages and accounting software,
• He/she should possess evidence of sound human relations, professional competence, industry, efficient management of human, financial and material resources.
• Candidates should not be above 60 years as at the time of assumption of office.

Terms of Appointment/Condition of Service

• The appointment shall be for a single term of Five(5) years only.
• The remuneration and other condition of service attached to the post are as applicable to the post of Bursar in similar tertiary Institutions in Nigeria and as may be determined by the Governing Council of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo from time to time.

Job Title: Rector

Location: Owo, Ondo

Job Descriptions

• The Rector is the Chief Academic, Administrative and Accounting Officer of the Polytechnic.
• He has the power to exercise general authority over both the staff and students and he is also responsible for discipline in the Polytechnic, subject to the general control of the Governing Council.

Qualification and Qualities
The candidates for the post is expected to possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Must hold a Master's or Doctorate degree from a recognized institution in any of the disciplines offered in the Polytechnic with a minimum of Fifteen (15) years of professional and administrative experience, at least five of which must have been gained in an institution of comparable status.
• Must be a Chief Lecturer with not less than five (5) years experience on that cadre.
• Must be able to attract research grants and development facilities to the Polytechnic.
• Must be a person with initiative and vision for sustaining the accelerated pace of development especially during this period of national financial and challenging constraints.
• Must not be more than 60 years of age as at the time of assumption of office.
• Must demonstrate evidence of strong academic and administrative leadership, initiative and creativity in policy formulation, good human relations and positive managerial attributes.
• Must provide evidence of membership of reputable professional body/bodies in Nigeria.
• Must provide evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals as well as presentation of accepted papers at educational conferences, seminars' and/or workshop
• Must be a morally sound, fair-minded and dynamic individual with an impeccable reputation.
• Must enjoy excellent physical and mental health.
• Must he Information & Communication Technology (ICT) proficient.

Terms of Appointment/Condition of Service

• The Rector shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only on such terms and condition as may be specified in the letter of appointment
• The remuneration and other condition of service attached to the post are as applicable to the post of Rector in similar tertiary Institutions in Nigeria and as may he determined by the Governing Council of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo from time to time.
